Why is bl turning to absolute garbage? Usually i just stick to what i'm already reading but today i wanted to see some featured works and wow i wish i didn't, is it too much to ask for a bl with an interesting story and a couple that have chemistry without any of that toxic over the top shit? I don't want to see them fucking on the 4 chapter, i want to grow to love the characters and their dynamics, I'm talking 'half of me', 'guiding hazard', 'koimonogatari', hell even 'netkama punch'
Girl literally everything nowadays is just so boring and the plots are all either repetitive or plain smut i miss stories with plotlines that kept me engaged I've been rereading old stories for the last two months because everything new just sucks
In that regard, the featured manga are controlled concensus/algorithm controlled that one. sadly, we have no control over that
can I suggest? definitely convert to novels. They are much more immersive than manhwas these days. Like, too many manhwa adaptations today are badly paces due to the fact they have cut some scenes.

I am so sorry. on these regard.. I am still building to expand my novel knowledge still not an expert to recommend something since I am overload with novels from the badly paced manhwas.
My tip is if you found a possible peak manhwa and there is a novel version. Jump into its novel version. most of the time, it is so worth it

After rereading the story i feel like everyone is missing the point, people keep saying that juheon is acting like an ass and should be the one doing the chasing not the other way around, i advise you to read the last chapters of season one, juheon wasn't even that mad about dohu using him as a reference, what really set him off was the fact that dohu admitted that he was planning on keeping it a secret because it made things easier on them and wouldn't admit to his fault or apologize even after meeting him again, dohu realizes how much effort juheon was putting into the relationship when dohu was taking it easy.
And i understand dohu's unique circumstances and difficulty in understanding emotions in general, but i feel like it's hypocritical to blame juheon for not understanding dohu's feelings when dohu himself admitted to being unable to do so, always feeling confused, dohu knows that he did the wrong thing when talking to juheon, and that's why hese trying to make up for it, so dismissing his efforts is like denying any growth he might have had, which is the entire point of his character development, i think people are used to shitty top characters so that's why everyone is trying to lump juheon with them when he is one of the greenest flags out there.
The problem with juheon isnt that he doesnt understand dohus feelings, the problem is that he left without ever trying to understand. Dont get me wrong, i dont think that juheon is wrong for that but its not unexpected that people are going to dislike certain actions from characters when said actions are portrayed as negative. Idk if i explained that well sorry.
THISSSS , not only that, this was the decision he came to AFTER a whole damn year/semester of dohu trying his damn hardest to be there for juheon and understand him. juheon is an ass in a lot of people's opinions bc he CHOSE not to even try to return the same comfort he was given. And he ran from not only dohu, he ran from EVERYONE. literally anyone who's tried to be befriend him, comfort him and shit, he's genuinely an asshole for that

Again, i recommend rereading because are we just gonna ignore the fact that his mother/aunt pulled out dohu's picture and has probably threatened juheon with him? Juheon wasn't even planning on leaving, he told his grandfather clearly that he doesn't want to go abroad to study, so saying that he CHOSE to leave is completely false, and saying that juheon didn't try as hard in the relationship as dohu are you sure we read the same story? he's the one who stood up for him against his bully, he's the one who took care of him/cooked for him/planned their dates and always said i like you first, bro what are you on about
Getting "probably" threatened by the aunt/mother still doesn't justify instantly disappearing with no contact, this isn't some fantasy world where the antagonist can chant spells and prevent juheon from actively communicating, going afar to protect the people he supposedly love is one thing, doing so without communicating what was actually happening IS A CHOICE. Welcome to the modern world where it is quite literally impossible to 1000% prevent a capable adult from doing what they pleases.
Also the initiatives you mentioned are all just literally things people do when they're in a relationship/ interested in someone/ just wanna be a decent friend??? What actually weigh more in a relationship? Planning dates and making dinners or actually talking and actively working things out with your partner when shit hits the fan? Cus one of these things are actually CRUCIAL , foundational things in a relationship and the others are just actions to show affection. Showing affections thru doesn't build the foundation to a relationship. Communication does.
