I think Alek's background explains his behaviour but does not justify it...I mean that, of course, in order to survive in such a toxic environment he might have had to learn how to suppress his emotions and manipulate people. But once he got the power to stand for himself he should have stopped playing their game. Manipulating Hen just to get back to Ivan is quite a hateful thing to do. Not everybody who is raised in a bad environment turns out like their parents. So, he should stop behaving like an asshole

I did not mean that I don't like vampire stories , on the contrary I love them (BLOOD BANK IS PRECIOUS). i just meant that in this particular story i do not like the vampire at all, which is weird as I normally prefer them to the werewolves in those stories that have both ( like Blood link)
