i absolutely loved this particular choice of the author.
It perfectly portrays the brilliance and determination of the emperor .
If the princess lived and procreated then that would be the seed of future rebellions. to take back the land her father's followers and allies would rally behind her and her royal blood regardless of what she wanted .
It's sad but the reality is that her death was the kinder thing
to do. The potential rebellion could take thousands of lives .

There was hundreds of other ways to create a magic animal thing for this story !
And a 3 year old creating it in her belly was what the author went with? It's not even new in a creative way ..it's just annoying.
