This is definitely a realistic approach and I like how Martha wasn't able to be with him when she came back, while she doesn't deserve it it shows light to how much you can fight and still lose to another. I love that she couldn't bring herself to hate her because it just portrays the agony and just really let readers connect with her.
I also loved her insight on not understanding war, and making assumptions of what we don't know is dangerous. it feels too real in today's world
The ending wasn't even that bad imo, sure, it was rushed and definitely felt like it just robbed us I can't say I'm mad. I don't think it's the worst ending it's just more of a ending that had to be done, I'm hoping the author is well and hopefully give side stories and/or redo the ending if it's possible.

read the raws: yes, he tops. honestly, i stopped keeping up after they first slept together because i was really dissatisfied with how things happened & the pacing of it all, but he was very much an asshole up to that point. the way he treated soohwa (and wooyoung, ultimately) out of his own jealousy was very much a red flag & up to the point i read he did not do anything to actually make up for his bevaiour LOL. hope this answers your question
