What is with people hating on Kazuma and Tomoe??? Like one: that's kazuma's personality. HES A TSUNDERE. Rather hes more cat like, like shige said in the extra and not in the sexual sense. This probably flew over some people's head seeing as they be hating on Kazuma...BUT what shige meant was that Kazuma, unlike chiaki who is categorize as "dog like" aka affectionate, loving, likes to be relied on, and overall likes to please their partner, is the opposite kinda. He's more independent and is not as openly affectionate as chiaki. Sure they've been together for well since they were kids, but that's just how kazuma is. It's harder for him to express his love in words than it is for chiaki. Kazuma proves that he loves chiaki plenty of times throughout the story, it's just very subtle. One example is when kazuma accepted the job proposal and was busy for a while, chiaki had to take on the responsibilities kazuma had (ie picking ayu, helping her out with school stuff, etc) and when he realized that he "wasn't as good as kazuma" in this area he got kind of depressed to which kazuma cheered up. And kazuma even said thank you. Like if that isn't him showing his love and appreciation towards chiaki, then what Is? They have good communication and they understand each other. And with that one line "at least make me cum first" some y'all be taking that outta context. That was a reply to chiaki saying "im so happy I could die" translation to what kazuma was saying is: "you can't die on me now or dont go dying on me now" like don't take it literally he was sort of joking in the moment. They just got married and chiaki is saying that he could die (out of happiness) but their newly wed life just started. (This part is kinda hard to explain???) Like sorry that some people aren't openly afeectionate??
And then there's the hate on tomoe.... why??? In my eyes she was pretty good mom. She unexpected got pregnant and had a child. like it sounds like people who hate on her for "abandoning ayu" or "dumping ayu on her friends" wanted her to have an abortion. Yea I'm taking it there. Y'all whining about her "choosing" her job over ayu really sound like that to me. Like what other choice did she have? If she stopped her job to raise ayu, where would they get money from. She's a freelance photographer (I think) Tomoes parents have already passed on and the story doesn't say she has anyone besides chiaki and kazuma. So if she went down that route are you saying it would've been okay for her to mooch off of kazuma and chiaki?? And she could have taken ayu with her on her job...She travels the world! I'm pretty sure moving around fro m place to place constantly stresses out a child. So they best choice for tomoe was to leave ayu with people she trusted her life with. People who have been there for her since she was a kid. And kazuma and chiaki were more than happy to help the woman who was basically their older sister. Those three are family to each other, yeah they aren't blood related but they're bond is so close that it's like that of siblings. Also where did she abandon ayu??? I'm confused. Chiaki and kazuma MADE sure that ayu kept in touch with her mom. It's even implied that tomoe visited frequently. If she REALLY abandoned ayu, she would've not even kept in touch, or visited. He'll if she was as bad as some make her out to be, she would've just left ayu at her apartment to fend for herself( which she didnt) *phew* I probably didn't explain that well but I'm tired of the hate on these characters. It's supposed to be a fluffy and adorable story about a gay couple raising a child for a friend with a sub plot of life changing decisions they have to make as a couple like moving in together, and getting married
