This scene was way better in novel, fk her monologue was longer, more direct and cruel towards this pos, also she was more beaten up, and at some point he was strangling her while screaming, she was covered in blood from cuts and a lot of ppl witnessed it, knights, Freya with her brother, her sister, and father in law.
While I don't like to see Ruby hurt, in this scene artist should really follow the novel, it showed how she was treated her whole life, and thanks to witnessing her at her lowest everyone present understood she was a victim, even Freya, and the rest of ppl who distrusted Ruby instantly realized she wasn't some scheming devil, who is playing with Izek's feeling.
In this version it looks bad, but not SO bad, like it could be seen as really, really heated argument, when emotions fly of the handle, while it should be clear indication of how cruel he was, and how bad Ruby was treated.
I'm really disappointed.

I was just about to go rant on this!! I read this part in the novel over and over because when i read this scene my heart aches and always brings me to tears since this is one of the times Ruby bares her heart out and she speaks not for survival but for herself and also she basically foregoes her will to live here but at the same time fought for it. IM SO FREAKING CRYING RIGHT NOW.... THIS SCENE.... IVE BEEN WAITING FOR SO LONG....

It's definitely not a matter of costs, simply put webtoon targets more kids than the novel, so they are changing things around.
In other webtoon Marriage of Convenience antagonist death was also different than in the novel, they tone down scenes with explicit violence and other heavy subjects.
This will either be absolutely awesome, or total waste of time, I believe in this case there is not in between.

Ok so it has been a really long time since I read this story, but I believe the reason he started to act so cruel to her was because he thought she was cheating( I think he had some kind of trauma regarding cheating, but I’m not sure) anyway and it wasn’t actually him who left her while she was screaming for help in that storage( he was actually trying to save her)
At first I really did not like the ml, but over time everything came to light and I remember that I really enjoyed this story.
So I don’t want to spoiler anything more and I really recommend you pick this up again

Well I'm still not over Mitsuhide and Kiki situation, it took a bigger toll on me than I expected.
I really hope next chapter will end oushi arc, and he will accept the fact she is happily in love with someone else, it's been so fking annoying, but tbh I can't rly say he is completely in the wrong, because his friends are shit, they encourage him while not knowing either Yuki or Itsu, and how deep their relationship is, and because of it he was still having hope, good friends are ppl who are straight with you, and tell you what is real and what is pipe dream.
Those two are imbeciles that were telling him he should steal Yuki from Itsu, and this is wretched af.
Still I have a high hopes for the girl that showed up, she seems like grounded person with strong personality, and oushi needs someone like this in his life.
I know right ! I would be pissed if someone did this to me but since Yuki is so kind, she didn't think much about it. But if I were in Yuki's position, I would be a annoyed by Oushi and his friends.
Itsuomi is a better friend to Oushi than his actual friends. They probably meant well but they gave him the worse advice to give someone in his situation. If they’re supposed to be inexperienced and clueless it would at least somewhat help their case. But if they have experience and gave him advice like that it speaks poorly of them as a person.
IMO to pursue someone in a relationship is something a bad person would do. We call these people home wreckers (and since Yuki lives with Itsuomi it applies here).
First of all sorry but I can't agree with you on your first point, simply because in both cases their advice is bad, and it doesn't excuse them if they don't have any experience in such a matter, because I believe giving advice about something we have no clue about is idiotic, but maybe it's just me.
But I agree that if they have a experience with stealing someone's girlfriend, then yes, in this case they are trash, while in prev case they are just simpletons and cretins.
Also I just partly agree with you on your last point, because it depends on situation, and state of relationship between someone you fancy and their partner, it could be a good thing to do only in case where relationship isn't fair to the person you have feelings for, like cheating, abusing and toxic person is their partner, in that kind of case I believe we can agree it would be pretty damn good excuse to steal someone's partner.
Lastly in Yuki, and Itsu case they are happy and good for each other, so trying to destroy their happiness is despicable, and shouldn't be even considered by decent person.

And yeah if Yuki was in a bad relationship trying to separate them wouldn’t be a bad thing but in this case Itsuomi is a good person and the relationship is healthy. With how kind Itsuomi has been he doesn’t deserve it.
Itsuomi is not a good friend to Oushi in a way that is different from the reason why those who aren’t a good friend to him. Those who aren’t a good friend for him because they won’t let him live in reality. Itsuomi isn’t a good friend to him because he doesn’t understand his boundaries. You see it, especially with the first meeting he keeps repeatedly crossing his boundaries to the point where now in this chapter, he just takes it for the most part. Oushi should give up on his crush and end most of his friendships honestly
