I absolutely love this author, Kyou no Kira-kun, and gozen 0-ji were extraordinary in my opinion, I'm checking Comixology every week, waiting for last vol of gozen 0-ji.
Author is perfectly balancing romance, and drama, it's not toxic, not boring, and not annoying.
I hope that this new story will be as good as previous ones, too bad that it's just started :( i would love to read a lot more!!
Many years have passed, and I'm still coming back every April to read this manga, I must be huge M, because I know that after reading this, my heart will be in serious pain.
The First time I started to read this manga I was sure that Kaori will survive, Arima was traumatized after his mother death, so I was positive that author won't kill Kaori, but I was wrong, author must seriously hate poor Kousei, if I was in his shoes, I couldn't be able to smile ever again, and burn every single piano in my path.
Sometimes I hope that author will create what if chapter with Kaori being alive, and she, and Kousei are playing together in competitions... Too bad it won't happen.
Still it's rly a masterpiece.

Next chapter "Ruka's bluff" she will probably lie to Chizuru about their relationship, and because she remembered his unfinished sentence from few chapters ago, she will misunderstood and will think that he loves Ruka.
And misunderstanding will continue, and there will be no progress, and this crappy manga will have more than 300 chapters... Too bad, this story was rly good at the beginning, but now this is just boring.

I found this manga today, and after reading most of the comments about "toxic ml" and other negative stuff I seriously didn't want to read this manga, but I did anyway, and my instinct was spot on, mc is not toxic, he is rly good guy who loves fl deeply, fl is not your tipical stupid damsel in distress, this manga isn't masterpiece, but definitely it's not crap! I have no clue why most of those comments are so critical, I know a lot of titles that are way worse than this, and still i found them enjoyable, ofc this manga is not exeption. So don't believe worthless comments, and check yourself guys, it's only 14 chapters for now, and I swear not once I was disgusted by this manga!
if you read the little comments, he was in a relationship with nina as fuck buddies while dating other people, hence he was cheating on those people.
another thing, he said they broke up and then says she cheated when she didnt, thus, he blames her for their break up by creating a lie.
third, hes friends with his sex friend when he shouldnt be.
fourth, in a raw chapter, he says "put yourself in my shoes. what if i talked to my ex, would you like it?" to the fl, yet he still is friends with his ex.
so yes there is some toxicity. i just think you may be pure minded to notice these small details the author gives.
He didn't said she cheated, he said she started dating other guy just after their Broke up, because there were rumors, and she didn't correct him, she just ran away from him, and started to avoid him. About the raws, I don't speak Japanese so I don't know what he said to who, and I'll wait for translation, but in those translated chapters he and Nina are speaking with each other, but they are never alone, there is always someone with them.
Still there is nothing wierd with talking to your ex, I'm still friends with my ex, and I know a lot of ppl who are in friendly relationship with their ex'es.
About his cheating, it is during his time as a kid, probably in high school, so I don't give a rats ass about what he did as a kid, as long as he is good to fl I rly don't care about his past, and she neither, she accepted him and I'm ok with that, he rly cares about fl, and that what's matter the most, he is protective, caring and loving in their relationship.
