Yea, pretty sure we're going through the 2nd timeline right now.
Idk whether the author will get into detail about how the multiple timelines function, whether it's an alternative dimension or like a time-reverse situation, but it was real either way. The 1st season would basically become reduced to torture porn otherwise. Clough's emotions, his agony, rage and regret, were enough to transcend time and space, creating those dreams in their 2nd life. At least that's my take on it.

You're right, Aeroc remembers everything meanwhile Clough is just haunted by those dreams. From the spoilers I read that's pretty much it for THIS life.

In the novel there's a third regression/ another version of events, where this time only Clough remembers their 1st life meanwhile Aeroc doesn't. A lot of people seem to hate that third timeline bc it "ruins" Aeroc's happy end, but they do still end up together.
The most popular comments on here have some great discussions, I recommend reading through those for more context.

Girl read the novel. Just trust me and read the damn novel. It'll break you to the point of no recovery. Also do not feel sorry for Kloff. That bastard hardly deserves anything good. If not because of his own selfish desires and arrogance. All of them would've been fcking happy.

The third timeline isn’t exactly happy… it’s like a new hell, for me. Clough will be haunted by his crimes towards OG Aeroc… Rapiel (who he failed to be a better partner), his kids (new kids won’t changed the hate he left behind the first world..)

He’ll be living with the Hope that by doing good in this life, he could have a chance to see Og Aeroc. He won’t find happiness or peace.. just more misery to be honest, but that’s just for him to carry.

I do wish the author added side stories to vol 5… but Winter must have thought that both stories kind of reflect each other. The same set of kids are born from both worlds, Lenoc and Sioux are destined to meet world 2-3, hopefully someone translates their story which is available in a different site… can’t they post it on ridi hahahah. It’s a fun fact… vol 4 chap 4 is a side story of vol 5… the hint is Aeroc was talking about his new love for gardening and OG Clough comments Lenoc has feelings for Sioux but is in denial and takes after him ヾ(☆▽☆)

Au Clough is clueless about his son and Sioux in the side stories vol 4 chap 2… and was surprised that a lot of young omegas actually likes Lenoc hahaha (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

I don't even care about his misery. I just hope if the author deicides to do something different this time. Give Aeroc a better man. And not let him end w Kloff* again. Never.

Sadly that will never happen because ITRG is the story of both characters longing that’s Winter’s goal. But there is fanfiction… I don’t like Clough so I wrote Aeroc getting a different ML... in two fics.. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Great... But it really bothers me that you keep mispronounce/misspelling Kloff's* name. I know the translations here are bad. His official name is Kloff* You can search it.

Whatever the spelling is… my head hurts from Klopp to Kloff to Clough… but I do use Clough spelling for my fanfic it spells better, I’m not sure if it’s Kloff or Klopp but someone said it meant toilet in there language… so I just can’t take the name seriously ╮(￣▽￣)╭

In booktoki I see the spelling change from Kloff. klopp and Clough… it’s just a name. If it’s Kloff then fine.. let’s not get our panties twisted, but don't call the translations bad.. a lot of love went to that translations, if the name was the only issue. Remember it’s Kloff/Clough who we’re fighting about.. the guy we all want to push down a cliff.

Clough is just shitface to me anyway… that should have been his name.

But Clough’s anger hasn’t subsided yet. He grabbed the Count’s delicate soft hands. “We aren’t done talking yet.”

The Count glared at him. Gone was the feeling of pain and sadness. The cold arrogant aristocrat was again standing before him. “Then what was your intention! You probably played with that guy, that's why he attacked you!”

“Of course not! You were different! You were the only one I ever asked!I—” The words came to a halt. The Count gasped for air, the anxiety had broken his mask-like expression. Clough had never seen the Count look so vulnerable, he looks like he’ll break into a thousand pieces if touched.

The silence between them, left them suspended in time. Clough couldn’t believe what he heard, he was the only one. All this time, that affectionate attitude and attention, it was all for him. The misunderstanding between them was a product of rumors and his wild imagination. He couldn’t speak from the shock.

Regaining his senses, the Count’s eyes were now blazing with anger, he immediately pushed Clough. Trying to free his hands. “It doesn’t matter now. Let me go, Bendyke. Our conversation is over.”

Clough observed the Count’s face. He knew whatever feelings there were before were no longer present, in its place was an ice cold heart too frozen, no warmth could thaw free to beat. And Clough made it that way, he made this man despise whatever goodwill he had before. Just as the Count said, it doesn't matter now.

It’s prettier, right??? God, I want to hear those lines from Aeroc. Tell him off Aeroc! Go baby! You deserve a better man! (づ￣ ³￣)づ but seriously let’s not argue about Kloff, ok! He’s not worth our spit! I’m torturing him, making me happy! We talk shit about him, so it’s all good, right?

Aeroc Teiwind, Linus Wolflake, Rapiel Westport, Ariel Westport, Richard Derbyshire… even Hagen the gatekeeper, Hugo and Martha have better sounding names.

The story is incredibly favorable to Kloff, except for the name. It used to drive me crazy… did your parents hate you? Hahahaha

It's also my question why they'd choose to spell his name wrong. Anyway, I agree w you. I hate that Kloff still got to be w Aeroc even after all that shit he pulled. And the thing that most angers me is that he tries to justify his wrongdoings towards Aeroc in the name of love towards Rapiel which is total BS. Because he never loved Rapiel to begin with. Which means Aeroc had to go through all that pain bcz some crazy Alpha couldn't face his own damn feelings. As much as I do not condone Aeroc's mistakenly done crime towards Rapiel, I also have to say he did not deserve all that suffering, at least not from Kloff who did not even care about Rapiel and his unborn child.

You said it… the part that kills me is the ‘What If’ at first I was happy about the kids, and then I saw Kloff getting the frick away with everything, Martha and Kloff still using Rapiel to make every bad thing they did ok… and Aeroc who is so far conditioned accepts everything.

It’s became my motivation to write fanfic… I’m getting you away from those bastards. I made one fic where one of Aeroc’s kids tells Kloff “You should have sent him to jail! We all know why you did this!” And he also screams at Martha (that witch needs a beating too!) I’m trying to write Rapiel jr story, but in the eyes of Kloff and Linus Wolflake.

He didn’t love Rapiel. I emphasize on that in the fanfic… in all of them. We all know if Aeroc had moved on.. Kloff would be so bitter about it. Which is happening in fic right now… What Could Have Been.. if Rapiel doesn’t die and Aeroc moves on. The sad thing is, I think the marriage between Rapiel and Kloff would be really sad one, because the motivation of his marriage was to forget Aeroc.

Third life irks me.. but because of the imprint. It seals them both together, so I want to screw the first world. No imprint… just Aeroc finding happiness in WCHB and FATR (for all the wrong reasons- the Wolflake route!) and Kloff just suffering from his bad choices.

He didn’t face any real suffering in the novel. Yes, he’ll be haunted by the things he did, but still he doesn’t get to face his crimes.

I hoped the author made this storyline instead because we would still read it… Aeroc deserves better than Kloff (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
