hm I’ve reread the first few chapters and done a little bit of digging and I think Seo Ilmo (the seme) wasn’t loved growing up so that may be why he told ah-in “I’m going to love you now and give you everything you want etc..” he was also probably abused too because he said he was afraid of fire because his dad said he was gonna burn him alive but he burned him alive instead.
they both were abused in their childhood so that’s something similar. also, the seme says that ah-in is the ‘main character’ and that a “new game has begun” so that’s probably why he hasn’t killed him yet. I still don’t know why he chose ah-in and why he wants to do any of this but I hope we find out in the next few chapters.

the seme probably wants all the focus and attention on ah-in sense he’s the main character in his “game”. that’s why he’s constantly stuck in decisions he himself (ah-in) has to make, like who he wanted to set on fire.. and remember that guy that was tied up asking ah-in for help and whenever he made a step the seme stepped closer to the guy tied up and winded up killing him because of ah-in’s steps? it’s like a game to see how he’s going to deal with all of this and everything is being handed to him. and seo ilmo is probably going to make it to where whatever ah-in does is going to hurt someone else. like how we see Jeong yeong tied up on a wire to ah-ins wrist and whenever he walks it pulls his neck. i really don’t know what’s going on but that’s what I think

This is a perfect example of abandonment issues and people are still failing to realize that. Jiwoon was abandoned by his own parents when he was a child and waited for them to come back for a year but they never did. He blamed himself saying it was his fault which really fucks your mental health.
Then going back to when Jiwoon was drugged and almost r4ped he was telling Suha to not go with the red head but ofc suha had no other choice but to leave Jiwoon. That is where his trauma clicked back and reminded him of his childhood because of how his parents abandoned him and he thought suha was going to abandon him and never see him again. He probably also thought it was his fault too. On top of that when Jiwoon was in the hospital because of his head nobody was there to see him but Suha and then eventually Suha had to leave the hospital, and there we go again, thinking Suha is never gonna come back and see him.
I feel like Jiwoon got attached to Suha for a long time even when they weren’t dating.
Now after Suha is back with Jiwoon, he’s become obsessive and trying so hard to make sure the person he loves isn’t going to abandon him or leave his side anymore like how his parents did. Jiwoon has no family friends or anyone, and to him Suha is the only person left so he doesn’t want to lose him. That’s why he took his phone and stopped him from leaving the house etc.
I’m not trying to justify his toxic actions at all too. I’m just explaining why he’s acting this way. But I feel like Suha could do a little more to acknowledge his feelings and trauma, I know it’ll be hard but I know they both can do it and help Jiwoon overcome his trauma. But this isn’t an excuse for Jiwoon to be doing all of this shit like telling the people in the hotel to not let him outside. That’s so extreme. And for people saying he needs help and therapy etc , you realize therapy isn’t going to do much right.
You said everything needed to be said. Society is fucked up and we play a huge role in the fucked up society, many many people fail to realize or understand things won’t change quick or have emotional understanding.
I still believe Jiwoon genuinely loves Suha, like we can see that. It’s just the result from his trauma makes their relationship already rocky and yes I also really hope Suha will acknowledge something ain’t right. It’s obvious Jiwoon isn’t himself. Something has happened to him. Either Suha is dense or he knows something is up and promised to stay in the house to make him feel comfy as he stated.
