the plot may seem all over the place but its really not, just has a lot of layers but it makes sense.
The two main characters are pretty-well written, and this has some pretty impressive dialogue that makes them feel real and really shows their chemistry. It is also FULL of angst and includes rape that isn't glamorized in my opinion, and really shows the effects of that trauma on the characters. What really got to me in the story is how human it is, how both main characters have their flaws and how their relationship is far from perfect. The main characters feel like real people, with their own complicated wants and how they struggle with voicing them out, but they try their best to voice them out for each other.
I came not knowing what I was getting into, thought I was reading a steamy delinquent manga, and way more than I was expecting and sobbed my eyes out. It's funny sometimes, romantic, and tragic, but it was beautiful at the same time. Fucking good manga for sure.

Whenever I'm sick or just wanna read something late at night for the vibes, I come back to this. Lost count of how many times I've reread it. Brings me back to when I first binge-read it at 3 am a long time ago on another site, and I've never gotten tired of it. All the characters are endearing, it's funny, the story is addicting, the action is great, and it's just really good. I've seen people sad that they never really kissed (sorta sad about this lol) or had sex, but in my opinion, it wasn't needed to keep the story interesting cause it was already great without it, because you can feel the connection of Johnny and Cherry even without the sex. My dream is this gets a full anime cause it would be AMAZING, especially with the action scenes and Johnny being hot. One of my all time favs fr.
