yeah, it would have been nice but I think it is also good clearly there is an age gap and it makes the love story seem more realistic and different that she didn't end up with yan. Yan sees them as family and he thinks of her parents as his very own so that also would have been pretty clear and since their fate was changed they are there own person now not following the original story plot!
