The gay app was downloaded and his acc was made without his knowledge, and he wasn't following Misaki when he got the message bc he couldn't reply without following first. When he's holding up the phone (pg 21) the profile in the background is different from the app on the phone on the previous page, and the pictures are cropped to only show the legs, THAT is the acc he's been a secret follower of.

I like this trope....... I mean, isnt it the same thing, its just means he didnt know he was gay until he met that one guy but now that he likes both men and women, it'll ultimately make him bisexual, he's no more straight and was never to begin with?????
Honestly, I'd suggest never try to find logic in yaoi, this trope is very mild in front of omegaverse
no but I mean the author could just give it a bit more depth than "I'd fuck those thighs, no homo tho", ya know? just throw a line in there about how they've been bi-curious and I am a happy fella! of course, the emotional connection they develop is a separate matter, but the premise is shallow and makes the character feel paper-like.
omegaverse I feel like it just changes the world logic, but relationship dynamics are very much transposable. the best yaoi I've read gave me fruit for thought though, I appreciate when the author goes on a philosophical/technical tangent haha! (and I inversely may find it difficult to be hooked by a story with nothing but cliches to keep it going)
