The thing is. . . We all know that chapters update every Wednesday/Thursday and that whoever posts these fake updates is clearly being a kid. Yeah good for u, u trick us every time, u happy? ^u^
So let's all just stop complaining about it and ignore any updates that isn't on Wednesdays/Thursdays. Cuz clearly, this kid is feeding off of us by these pranks and falling for it every time is our fault.
The more we fall for it and get angry about it, the more this kid would want to do more of it.

All these comments about Sawamura not being acknowledged, but in my opinion, as long as Sawamura and Furuya treats each other as their rivals then i think Sawamura wouldn't want any more than that.
Also i think that it's too early for Sawamura to be recognized and "acknowledged" by the media as Seido's ace because to me he hasn't shown his full potential.
Sure, his numbers are great but they're not perfect yet. It would be more awesome if he perfects it and blow the audience, media, opponents, as well as the boss' mind. That would be too epic! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Plus, when it comes to acknowledgement, nevermind the boss and the media and the whole Japan, i would only need Cris-senpai to tell Sawamura all the heavenly words he so well deserved like fuck, and if that happens, i bet Sawamura wouldn't even give a damn about what the whole entirety of Japan would say to him

Well, if terajima-sensei actually decides to give more development to eijun instead of focusing on furuya being overconfident, by now he could've somehow made an impact in others' minds. If the mangaka himself is not acknowledging eijun as his MC and keeps shitting on his efforts, how are the readers supposed to accept terajima's decisions.

I don't really understand how you guys come to the conclusion that the author is not acknowledging Sawamura's efforts.
You know what, we don't really know what his plans are. But the story is already this far in, so i don't think Sawamura not being acknowledged was just because the author doesn't recognize his MC.
It could be that he does have big plans for him but the story doesn't allow it for now. You can't just drop a huge bomb without giving out signals.
Recently, Sawamura became the ace, because the boss saw how much effort he's putting and how he's rising slowly but surely. Although it could be because Furuya got injured, an opportunity is an opportunity no matter the shape or form.
Those times when Furuya was suffering, clearly the author has been thinking about how to make Sawamura look better and better.
Bottomline, i don't think the author isn't giving Sawamura any development. The way I see it, he thinks about every single characters' situation and to me all the characters so far are balanced and consistent. ` v')b

Different people look for different things in a story. While you might be ok with author focusing on other characters, I, on the other hand, want more depth into eijun's character as an MC. Especially after 6-7 years of following DnA, I've grown tired of over-exposure of furuya while eijun remained on the sidelines. I've waited for eijun's first game as an ace for god knows how long, and instead of getting satisfactory payoff, I have to look at my fav MC being trampled by author's selfishness because he couldn't come up with different character obstacles other than recycling the old nervous-player. After all the hardships and effort eijun has been through, he has the strongest mental fortitude compared to other pitchers in seidou, what's the point of developing his mental strength if the author decides to not use it at the most important time. You might not agree with me, it's fine, and I definitely have no thoughts of agreeing with you nor do I want to continue this conversation. I've already dicussed this subject with other commenters for the past few months and I'm tired

Oh it's alright, you don't have to reply, but id like to let you know that maybe you misunderstood ( ̄∇ ̄")
I wasnt trying to get people to agree with me. I only like sharing thoughts and opinions. I'm highly aware that people have different opinions.
That's all really, though this kind of misunderstanding happens to me all the time and others have told me that i sound like i wanted to pick a fight. Sorry for somehow adding to your frustrations. Just trying to be friendly here ^^;

I think that most would agree with you on most of what you said. The point is, however, that many many of us have grown impatient. The author has made several promises to us as his audience, and I think that after we've been waiting for years, it's high time he fulfill some of them - like devoting more face-time to Sawamura's rise to his full potential over making sure, in chapter after chapter, that Fuyura shines at ever possible opportunity.

I see i see. I've only watched the anime every time it updates since it's first season. And only started reading the manga of Act II when i learned that there was going to be an anime of it.
I was like "oml how could i forget that there's this thing called manga". And so started to binge read to the latest chapter
Idek how long you guys have been reading this series but probably that's why i can't relate...
