Just finished chapter 45. I am a little confuse with the story telling timeline, it has a lot of inconsistencies. What happened with that fake dating story line with the Duke for the birthday party? Was it actually over in one scene?
I think that was just the duke envisioning what he was going to do to help her out at the party to avoid everyone thinking she’s the crown princess.

I have the same reaction, I didn't really like how Daniel is the ML, instantly dropped it once he started appearing more frequently #－.－) I always thought Eugene was the best candidate among them (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
