The manhua skips out a lot of details from the novel which makes the story confusing. The art is fantastic no cap but it seems more of an eye candy now. TBH, I don't even know why Hualian's emotions aren't portrayed properly. Both of them show much more emotion in the novel then this. The other adaptions like the audio drama and the donghua does a much better job of adapting the novel imo.
Does the anime have all the details that are not in the manhua? Cause I'm planning to watch it and ask if the anime is ahead of the manhua.
The donghua has shown everything according to the unrevised novel and also it is going to show the fangxin guoshi arc very soon. So definitely recommend watching the donghua
