nah because starting to hate garam more and more by the chapter

I can't comprehend how people could just suddenly hate Garam for this and put ml on a pedestal and forget about his behaviors toward Garam before him realizing his feeling towards Garam. Garam has trust issue cus of his experience dating a guy and you want him to warm up immediately to the dude who was homophobic?

oh no, I don't hate him for being paranoid of ml at all, I don't believe in ml's redemption arc fully yet because it hasn't been finalized. I hate garam because he doesn't seem to understand that his own actions are super hurtful. As someone who was in a relationship that traumatised me, I communicated clearly how physical affection doesn't come for me anymore and my partner was more than patient and now we are doing well.
that's the difference. he doesn't communicate, he doesn't wanna talk about his past relationship, he wants to be a bitch and expects ml to accept it while also somehow liking the ml and expecting him to know it while every action of his says otherwise.
that's why I hate garam. because the author has set up a clear plot point to make him the sympathetic character after having acted like a bitch for the last few chapters and one conflict with easily resolution by making "both of them at fault". bet both of them will apologise in the next chapter even when the bigger one at fault is clearly garam.
trauma is okay to have but you also need to show the character trying to resolve it, not just "acting out from it".

again, my bad for never specifying why I hate garam. I don't expect him to fall head over heels and complete trust the ml nor am I saying ml is the better one here. both of them suck ass at communicating despite being adults at that age.
I hate Garam because people are using his trauma to justify all his actions of him being a bitch. You can have trauma and not be a bitch about it. I'm not saying communicate 100% from day 1 but at least something. a simple "I'm not ready for this nickname intimacy yet" would have helped.
all he's done is push ml away despite being the one to say yes. and now we are supposed to immediately feel sympathetic cuz ml was in an obvious set up situation that was made for misunderstandings? which he won't let the ml explain?
also just to be clear ml has never HIDDEN it when he's seen with other girls. he's never lied. he's made it obvious from the start that he's a fuckboy type. so when he DOES try to explain it garam doesn't wanna listen

They're both bad but the fact that u talked shit about garam saying that he was acting like a bitch for not "communicating" is so stupid. You have to realize that not all people have the same reaction when it comes to their trauma. For you, you can communicate with others and being fine with that. Not all are the same, garam isn't like that.
Plus ml didn't even bother to solve his "other" relationships (ex: friends), like try explaining to them about your current relationship. Also ml didn't even try to communicate with mc, he just walked away when things didn't go the way he wanted to then goes to his POS friends and goes drinking just cause he was pissed asf.
Garam's feelings are justified like imagine your current bf used to be a fuckboy and then suddenly someone called you claiming to be their friend that they're at the bar, drinking with some girls after a FUCKING FIGHT?! I would react worse imo

dude I know the mom is evil but for the first time in so many of the BLs I have read so far have I seen a truly threatening villain.
like she's not the type of villain that you know the top can just get rid of by being himself and she holds real control over the lives of both the ml and the ppl around him.
the story wouldn't be half as interesting or have half the stakes it does it if wasn't for the mother, the emperor is a pathetic character compared to her.
I love her as a villain

y'all this is close to rape, no matter how much you deny or delude yourself into it. Richard enjoys pain and Courtney does not. If she's asked to stop and is literally crying cuz of the pain... that's a no. a line has been crossed.
im not blaming Richard fully yet, cuz both of them seem to be inexperienced and Courtney also seemed to think just forcing it inside would work at first but it didn't and you can clearly see both's inexperience, which I think is fair and shows their naivety and in general lack of knowledge. depending on the next chapter this book will either become a really good one or one that I drop
