On the contrary I believe we can see some hope of him gaining confidence again after remembering who was he before all this happened when he meet his people.
Or maybe it's just my wishful thinking for him to get better I guess.....

I wanted mc to take revenge not by dying but making him miserable and laughing at him honestly but double-suicide option doesn't sound too bad, I guess.
