So in the novel they don't meet Strauss' army on the battlefield. After they defeat the rebels they go back to the capital, Ray is made a Duke or something and he spends his time practicing magic.
Then after 2 years of happy living, Rey begins to want to leave a legacy, get married and have an heir (remember, he was straight in his first life and only occasionally have a twink or two). This obviously creates a fight between the ml and mc and Ray runs away at an academy in a neutral state. It's there where he meets Eddie. And long story short, Eddie convinces him to return to Strauss to be emperor. And the mc and ml continue to see each other, but like every 6 months or so. And this is when Ray gets his buff body back.
I greatly doubt any of the above will be adapted in the comic though

Bruh I’m an enjoyer of toxic yaoi usually but this one genuinely made me feel like shit. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time reading it the smut isn’t even good either, not hating on those who enjoyed it but honestly I think it would be a very small minority of people who would feel satisfied after reading this

It's because people are stupid. The amount of people that cry about a yandere being a yandere and trying to be on some moral high ground is annoying. Doesn't stop them from reading the story, like turn of your brain and enjoy the dark romance.

The anti-war message seems to be growing stronger within this manga which is great. I get a bit frustrated when people say there is no plot in the manga because the message is subtle but it’s there and it’s wonderful :)
