So now Carcel realizing Ines’s plan all along suddenly makes him dumb and stupid? Did we even read the same story? Why do people think he’s divorcing her for no reason? He finally pieced everything together. And let’s not forget, Carcel and we, the readers, have completely different perspectives. Ines never directly expressed her true feelings to him, word for word. We, the audience, are the only ones who had full insight into her thoughts.
Shouldn’t you be glad that Ines’s plan is finally unfolding the way she wanted? The divorce she’s been aiming for is actually happening. Yes, communication matters, but blaming Carcel for reacting to something he was never made fully aware of, something Ines built entirely on her own, feels unfair. He just connected the dots, and now he’s the villain?
