It was from his current life after the competition. They found out that the aunt was hit, badly, by the uncle because of the "shoes" that the aunt gave to him. He's getting inside of the old guys car because the old guy texted ling chen when he was in the hospital saying "I got what you want, meet me downstairs at kdkefkrokrr" which was his uncle(the thing ling chen wants)

This webtoon is well written and very nice but i still don't understand 40percent of it lol

I think it's because they have a different styles, transition? The grammar was fine, it was understandable for me compared to some mangas/whas/huas who don't even know that the word "anyways" is not a thing. More like a slang-ish word. The only thing I'm bothered with is a few chapters have page panels that seem like they aren't in the correct place.
