as another comment said, i actually never thought the romance was annoying either. the female characters seen as potential interests don’t really seem to have enough narrative weight to affect the main character’s actions, nor enough emotional pull for him to seek them out. there aren’t any annoying blushing moments or ooc behavior just for the sake of romance, and the characters don’t feel shallow or forced into the story. sure, the male/female ratio among relevant side characters leans more towards “female,” but i don’t think it’s glaring enough to be bothersome. maybe it’s just that i never disliked her character and never really felt the situation was too romantic in the first place, but anyways… i’ve dropped plenty of stories because of romance plots (even ones that were well written, like in “sss-class suicidal hunter”) be cause i don't like main characters in love but here the romantic vibes are really mild. might drop later if it actually starts getting romantic tho…
There are romantic scenes here and there though between Hajin and the Troupe's leader, which first starts out as Hajin taming the entire Troupe with his housekeeping skills. However, it's mostly an action and drama packed series. We do however get side stories where it's 3 different alternative timelines with the other 3 female leads. The first one wasn't bad cause it was just Hajin's life as a mercenary and helping Rachel's dungeon exploration team.

the novel is so good why is the manhwa so mid… (not bad tho) it isn’t even just the new art style bro. the characters are all just so flat now and the plot is changing. even if the main point remains, what makes a story good is the little things… they’re rushing everything and skipping some memorable moments altogether damn. hope they don’t fuck with kiyeon’s and doom kiyoung/hyunsung’s arcs T-T

As far as I remember, no melons or cheeks were mentioned in an excessive way. It focused way more on outfits and skirt lengths. The actual problems with the novel were the repetitive plots and all the nonsense filler. Waste of time [novel version]. This adaptation is much better [for story wise], it's just too much when it comes to fanservice.
