the plot was so done with the push and pull thingy they have going on and so the very cliche "kiss" finally happened

If you read it carefully you'll realize that Haesoo was the more favored one between them but that doesn't mean he wasn't abused. He mentioned being deprived of water for diet (iirc) and being hit in their heads whenever the "lady" got the chance, meaning he wasn't exempted from the abuse. It's just that him and Haesol reacted differently from the trauma they received. Haesoo became quite "unhinged" and saw those memories as good times with his sister but Haesol, due to the trauma, had selective amnesia (if I'm not mistaken) and forgot about her childhood memories.
While it's true that he opened Haesol's deep wounds, I think we need to take consideration to Haesoo's experience as well and should not portray him as the bad one. It is always the crazy adults who should be blamed for ruining these children's lives.
Exactly. As to what we have been presented so far, not only was he abused as well, most likely, even he was not taught properly, at all, growing up. Not on facial expressions, social customs, emotions, etc. Hence, the behavior he has showed us in this chapter. Man, the fuck they did to these children. They didn’t deserve this. No one deserves this.
I actually love his character so far, he also mentioned earlier that he was kicked out? Im not sure what he meant by that since i ghought haesol kicked him out but we know thats not the case. Meaning he likely does not have a good upbringing even after seperating from haesol

Indeed. It's like he's only favored because he's male (given that the setting is in asia where male are mostly chosen to be the heir) but his upbringing was neglected and wasn't prioritized. And the sad fact is that this situation still happens in the reality of some households.

If Lee Jaehyun isn't the ML then I'll be extremely sad and disappointed. Sure, Han Jeongwoon might be there at most times with Lee Dakyung, he had her first kiss, approached Choi Taewoong when they were in need, but bruh I just don't feel it the same way between Lee Dakyung and Lee Jaehyun. Like girl lemme list some reasons why I want Jaehyun to be the ML.
1. Yes, Jeongwoon is Dakyung's first kiss... but when Jaehyun passed out during his panic attack girlie didn't even hesitate to gie him CPR and latched her lips onto him (call me delulu or whatever bcz who would hesitate when giving CPR but hear me out y'all) when she hesitated a lot before almost kissing Jeongwoon.
2. Dakyung never gave a clear answer whenever Jaehyun asked if she likes Jeongwoon, but he still wanted to protect and support her so-called "feelings" for Jeongwoon (esp during Jeongwoon's confrontation with Ahn Yina) despite knowing that he likes her as well. He made himself believe that Dakyung already likes someone else, but still protects her in his own way
3. I don't if I'm the only one who noticed this but Dakyung always answers the phone when it's Jaehyun. She worries about him a lot (e.g. when he was shot, when she discovered the needle bruises, when he fainted, when Shin -forgot his name- wanted her to eliminate Jaehyun) and even tried to be as honest as she can with him as much as she can expose. She also already had suspicions of Jaehyun but hesitated at the thought of eliminating him because he's the first person who was straightforward and honest with her.
4. Jaehyun has always supported Dakyung's decision, despite being against with some of them. He even filled the pool with water because Dakyung said she wanted to swim I—
Dude idk T_T I'm seriously going to be torn to pieces if they don't end up together... I'd rather have an ending where either one of them dies and a very tragic ending occurs or not having an ML at all than see Dakyung ending up with Jeongwoon
