Im not mad about the story having romance as a subplot along with her being the fl but i can understand why people who read the novel have mixed feelings about her. In the novel she was portrayed as this strong independent woman who till the end of her life protected her house and but now in the 2nd life our ml can hone her potential and see how strong she can become, which would have been a good plot that can turn to eventual romance but in the novel everytime she was present in the chapter… its disappointing how she was present mostly to represent the romance subplot, i would have want to see her growth progression more but alas…
