What I don't get about these stories is the nonsensical lore. Okay, you're illegitimate daughter, you're outcasted, fair. But now you're exposed that you're not even their real daughter by blood (you have different dad and mom), and the duke just straight out cut off your neck? No banishment, not expelling, not disowning, not even returning her to her original family, just straight up murdering her?? Logic doko??
But I mean I like Ian enough to keep me coming back to this story.

i think she said something about her real father being the enemy family of her current family? since her family now has the power to destroy ie. poison and stuff , her real father's family have the power to heal. thats why she can do the antidote and thats why she will be kill. shes the enemy's daughter.
well this is if i remember correctly

Still, slicing off her neck is just nonsensical. If she were indeed from the enemy family, keeping her captive, taking advantage of her would be the best solution, no?
Also I just use this story as one example of many nonsensical lore in isekai stories because I notice similar pattern. Why did this thing happen in original story? Well, because things happen for the sole purpose of convenience.

This has so many cliche tropes but I don't mind, the characters are refreshing and for once I feel like there's rarely any fantasy story with priests and temples as the good guys yknow, usually the authors put some twists like oh the god worshippers are actually evil and the devil is the good guys but here it's not like that because such twist quickly becomes boring.

Only 2 chapters so maybe I nitpick so much since it's still new and needs to marinade. But FL's actions were as spontaneous as OG Villainess, like switching with your sister with no explanation like you weren't trying so hard to be the emperor's concubine, it makes no sense, you suddenly barging in to the duke's room, like you think people won't get suspicious? Also slow blinking means greetings?? Last time I check it was an affectionate gesture from cats. She said she'd use the knowledge from the novel to her advantage but she just jumps straight in with no proper plans... but ofc she'd get a plot armor and suddenly the duke will like her despite her mess. Sorry for the rant.
Someone please remind me when this already has 100 chapters because most of the times the academy arc is where it gets super boring
