I feel like this whole Moriarty being overshadowed by Sherlock or that Moriarty isn't that appealing thing was planned carefully by the authors cause that's what they usually did in detective stories y'know. Don't get fooled easily xD
It's true that Sherlock is depicted as goofy and hilarious type and John as a naive/innocent guy, and that's the whole point of Moriarty as an anti-hero, he's doing evil in the name of justice.
Tbh even though Sherlock and John is very likable I still prefer Moriarty and his super badass gang especially Albert and Moran ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
