I LOVE THEM- It’s so good, and so realistic, and the way the two of them converse about eachother and how their positions fit into the dynamic of give and take is SO GOOD. I love switch couples for this exact reason!! Like in this it’s never about who tops and who bottoms as some like- tool for dominance or gender roles of “whose the girl,” as most mangas make bottoming out to be a ‘weak’ trait, etc, but in this it’s always about the give in relationships, and their communication and dialogue around it is so good, and has such a mature feel to it. Also the topic about being gay and the fear surrounding, the struggle to be open around people, the differences between Keita and Satoshi’s family life surrounding being queer??? perfection.
Literally the only thing I didn’t like was trope of, “I’m straight except for you trope,” that Satoshi had going on, cause like, if you like a guy, then you’re still bi, even if Keita is the only guy. I think this was the main cause of a lot of Keita’s insecurities, so, I guess it served its purpose as a plot device, but, still.
Other than that??? A favorite of mine that i’ll read over and over again!! The whole manga has such a mature, well developed feel to it.

I feel like the whole "Straight but" is mostly because a lack of understanding of what being bi or pan is like, after all sexuality can be a whole spectrum and I don't think most yaoi authors do their research they just base of each other's works
Also that's also why i found funny the thing that architect coworker said "two bottoms wouldn't work out" like being a switch or even the possibility of it not being known in gay spaces sounds funny
I love this manga so much, I knew this author wouldn’t disappoint, the art is SO YUM, I mean literally gorgeous, and the world building is a unique idea. The comments were worse than I thought they’d be all things considering. Yes, the writing is lacking in certain aspects. But it’s funny and charming, and I think the pace takes a certain care with the characters that you don’t typically see in bl. Aoki is a very unusual top and I do really like his relationship with Haruka. The relationship is actually respectful and they stand on mutual footing (for once an omegaverse where the alpha isn’t just a total fucking asshole.) It’s really not often that an author takes the time to formulate a dynamic like this before just rushing in straight to the smut and the ‘suddenly in love ten chapters in’ kinda thing. The art is great and I like the progression of the relationships, and that the side characters are actually fleshed out. I’m not saying you can’t critique it because of these things, you can totally point out that it does have many flaws, but in comparison to the more popular yaoi that’s going around right now??? It’s SO much better.
anyway i love this so much i’m cooming(aoki just one chance please)
