It was fine, it was a cute easy read, but for some reason I had a hard time like…idk being convinced they actually had serious romantic feelings. Idk how to describe it, I think it was almost just too light and fluffy for my tastes that it didn't feel like they were actually serious about eachother until the sides after the series officially ended, which, if I don’t believe they truly want to be together after the end of the series, that seemed like a writing flaw. It’s like oh! we kind of had a crush on eachother, we have no clue how we’ll actually live together, but, we’ll get married! It was cute, but there was no conflict between them and that make their relationship feel very superficial and one dimensional. I just think the pacing of the story was odd, but I do recognize that some series aren’t meant to have conflict and they’re just supposed to be cute, easy read, pallet cleansers, which is what this for sure is! I do lovveeee that they’re switch couple tho (it was the only reason I picked this up)

idk i think it’s so weird that mc has raised haewon from a child, like, that’s basically incest. I get it isn’t in the biological sense, since they’re not actually blood related, but incest being ‘bad/frowned upon’ between male relationships doesn’t really have anything to do with biology anyway given they can’t get pregnant, but the societal ickyness and inherently groom-ish/ coercive nature of it. And I also get that haewon is younger so it’s not coercive and grooming since he’s younger, but still, as the mc??? how do you fuck someone you saw as a child and raised??? that’s just fucking weird
This will always be one of my all time favorites, it’s so good, and yegyum and jooin’s relationship is so refreshing!!! I love that we actually see the two main characters spend time together, converse, go out, etc. I feel with some authors they make it so much about the sex in an attempt to keep the readers interest that the relationship feels so one dimensional becuase we never see them actually spend time together doing other things. It’s like…I can’t believe you guys actually like eachother. But this??? Jooin is such a green flag, and the art is SO YUMMY. I’d do more than five stars if I could. I loved yegyum’s piercings and tattoo too, we need more alt bottoms.
I feel like the people that have an issue with chapter 55 or claim that yegyum should have run away etc, have such a victim blaming mentality and genuinely can’t comprehend what that scene was about. For their entire relationship the younger brother has been imposing control over yegyum using sex, and yegyum literally says that it was his attempt at making the younger brother hurt, and that he was essentially using it as a means of control, just as the younger brother had did to him. To see the younger brother in a “stereotypically” weaker position (not saying bottoming is actually weak, but it clearing is in the younger brothers mind given how he views power dynamics,) was almost a way of ‘punishing’ the younger brother for what he did. It wasn’t as if yegyum has set with him because he was deriving pleasure from it, but more of a means of control and inflicting the same kind of pain that the younger brother had on him through power dynamics. I think it’s more nuanced than just, “he had sex with him cause he wanted to,” blah blah, and to say that lacks comprehension.
Also, for the people saying this is a love triangle, I really wouldn’t say that it is. Yegyum’s feeling towards Jooin are always clear, and he never really wavers on them, the only reason he goes back to the younger brother was for Jooin’s sake, it’s not really a love triangle when it comes down to it.
