No the miscommunication is coming from the purple potion the valrose drunk that make her memory mis arrange . From the first first chapter valrose plan was to befriend the villain the ml to be not killed in the end of the novel where she transport but when she drunk the potion she forgot what her plan and remember all the bad thing what the ml did to her so that she think that his a bad guy and forgot all his promise to her not to hurt a person nor kill

Just know this might be a bit nitpicky
I was super excited to watch the anime adaption for this because it was available on yt but the farther I got to watching I noticed it was just like the PowerPoint Neverland/the promised PowerPoint I was looking forward to epic moves and expressions but most of the time it was just a drawing with moving mouths and there would be an occasional decent animation for magic maybe 1-3 times per episode. The PowerPoint presentation for when she found the true power of the saintess' magic(the power of love) there's was just a slideshow of the blonde guy. Also everyone was wearing the same outfits everyday which really threw me off because most characters are supposed to be high class nobles. They also gave the prince a whole episode for redemption ig? Please don't flame me for this since it's just my opinion but it felt really unnecessary since in the manga he was known and is generally known as a foolish prince but the one full episode was out here trying to justify his actions by saying "I'm thinking about the country" or something like that. The op also didn't hit me with the "oh yeah we going on a magic trip to another world join me on this journey" it was more like "let me put you to sleep" type beat. Anyway yeah that was my whole rant
