We know that when Ido bonded with Sejin in the first time line, he got all Sejin's memories and feelings. I'm guessing here, but is that why Ido went to the study? Because he could feel Sejin's conviction to die but didn't get there in time to stop him?? That's been on my mind a lot... I couldn't even imagine experiencing something like that.... Sure 1st life Ido was the bad guy. I don't minimize what he did. I just think that's why Ido is so messed up in this time line. Bad guy or not, that was trauma....
Anywho back to first life and my second question- He realized how wrong he was about everything and how horribly he hurt Sejin after the bond but too little to late. Does the story ever touch on how Sejin reacted to Ido's memories? And no. I'm not victim blaming in any way. I'm just wondering if the story acknowledges Sejin realizing Ido didn't send his brother to r.pe him, seeing how betrayed Ido felt with him sabotaging his business for his father, and living with the guilt Ido felt everyday (as they would then feel each other's emotions) after the forced bond. Sejin was the victim here, so I can't imagine the living hell of being trapped in each other's mental misery on top of living through everything he went through. I'm wondering if the novel addresses any of that, or if it's just 'Sejin broke mentally...'

There's so many holes left in the story. I read it, hoping my views on it would change but it hasn't. And no. I could never make peace with them stripping Yeon-woo of his balls. Like seriously... narratively, what was the point? Medically, it's not as passive as having a third nipple. He would need hormone replacement therapy for the rest of his life. Depending on the genetic abnormality, he wouldn't even have a fully formed penis. He does. Fine. It's possible, but he wouldn't be able to get an erection without the hrt. There could have been an incredible story including that struggle, but instead it feels like a rug pull to make him a typical "female with a penis" that BL does. Let's not add in the character assassination of Shin in the last few chapters with his hella inappropriate treatment of a seriously injured and retraumatized person. Then there's everything else- does stepmom get arrested for conspiracy for assisting her son in the kidnapping of Yeon-woo. Does the dad have any accountability? Does Shin take over the family's business? Do things get better between him and grandpa? Yeon-woo and his family... Their response to all of this? Handled better, this could have been a great story. It's sad the ball was dropped like this.
Awe.... it's still only at 59 here. I can't gush about chapter 60. Just know Julia is awesome. She earns all her MVP status points.
