This was kind of a mess. Nothing interesting happens until like 28/39 chapters. It’s just really boring sex and a Harace being overly friendly and invading space while Heilo is busy falling in love for what feels like no reason. Like for real, where’s the actual romance??? The interesting stuff starts really going around chapter 30 or so and the pacing finally starts feeling acceptable and then WHAM BAM THANK YOU MA’AM literally everything is wrapped up in two chapters extremely rushed. And what was worst of all for me, the whole plot point in the summary was that the vampire king fell in love with a vampire hunter, but there’s hardly any vampire hunter bits from Helio.
