I feel so bad for Chang-il cuz he finally gets saved from the men who have been repeatedly raping him only to have Yona force himself on him. Is Yona better than the other 2? YES. But the fact that he doesn’t understand that Chang-il just went thru this horrific chapter in his life and needs a sex break so he can just human regularly again makes Yona only a couple steps better than the men he saved Chang-il from. Does it come from a place of malice? I don’t think so cuz Yona is still pretty much a kid and probably doesn’t understand the harm he’s doing by continuing to want to have sex with Chang-il, but that still doesn’t make what he’s doing to Chang-il any better
I’m very much Team Chang-il moves across the world, changes his identity, and lives alone and single for a few years while being in very intensive therapy and possible trauma recovery outpatient programs
Wouldn't that be worse rn? Chang-il's sense of self is completely tied to his ability to sleep with others rn. If they hadn't slept together because Yona told him no, Chang-il would have so many insecurities and paranoia. I hope that if Chang-il is ever healed enough and decides himself to have a sex break, Yona respects that. I also hope Yona shows Chang-il that he likes him for more than his body. People with trauma react differently, some become hypersexual after trauma.
That's exactly how i was feeling , like is he really any different from all the men chang il had to prostitute himself to ? This is what i've been trying to explain to the people defending this behavior, like how can someone read my ass is still sore but i feel like i have to pay him back and think yes this is consent or him doing it out of pleasure, it feels like they only wanna focus on the sexy parts and some cute comments here and there yona throws , obviously we are not saying yona is a bad person , but he too likes chang il because of his body because since the beginning he wanted to have sex with him , from the first approach we got to see of them too , he offered to pay to fuck him , we can blame it on his young age yes , but as you said he clearly understands that his actions are putting him yin the same position as the men who used chang il , he chose to be selfish and feed his desires than hold back and let him heal. Yes this manhwa is toxic kinda simular to real life because no one is perfect, and we're just voicing our opinion about how this could have been handled in a better way if yona was more mature but well i still like this manhwa and looking forward to it

Controversial take: YES the seme took out the whole uke’s family and that is horrible and horrific BUT ALSO he did that under government orders. I think a lot of yall are forgetting how intense these fuedal times and how defying orders like this could not only put you or job in danger, but most likely you family too
Does that excuse his actions? Absolutely not. Does the uke still have valid cause for wanting revenge? Absolutely. But at the end of the day it’s much of a systemic issue. I don’t think he would have maliciously taken out his family if he hadn’t been ordered to do that
So this manhwa can go either of two ways:
1) the uke finally understands everything that I expressed above, realized it is much of a systemic government level problem that even if he kills the seme, literally won’t change anything. Accepting this is the only way he’s going to be able to drop his revenge and start an actual relationship
2) he kills the seme, which you kno, GOOD FOR HER! This is your story, your life, you do what feels best for ya
Either outcomes are valid. I think we all need to just take a step back and look at this from a historical point of view in terms of power dynamics. This is really not a good vs evil, black & white type of problem. It’s much MUCH bigger than that and it’s doing the characters a disservice by boiling them down into cookie cutter caricatures
