So, I saw comments talking about Hanoi's personality and how they are too 'old' for this book. Just wanted to comment my 2 cents on this cause I do disagree on some points. Others have explained it clearly, so I will try not to repeat it.
Personally I don't understand how they are too 'old' for this book. Saying this means you have matured to the point where you don't understand actions taken by the characters in the book, as it could have been done in a better way. I don't think ALL of the actions taken in this book were immature at all. Both MC and ML are 15 years old, it's normal for a 15 year old to not know what is love, or thinking not falling in love is not normal. When you are 15, puberty is already starting and hormones are out of control. For MC who is surrounded by peers who talk about love everyday/love being the main topic, it's obvious that she won't feel normal for not being in love/realising she is in love. Because she just doesn't! Does no one have friends/have experience where they just don't fall in love??
It's even more so for ML. ML started dating in middle school, he must have had many relationships that have ended in short periods of time. I don't wanna entertain the thought that he might have dated older women cause that's a separate issue, but he is also at the age where hormones go bonkers. It's obvious and totally makes sense for him, adding onto the fact that he is extreme in his way of thinking (only need 1 person in their life, that being their girlfriend). Also some people seem to be forgetting one major tiny detail; when he saw MC carry that umbrella, he didn't fall in love BECAUSE of that. He confessed and asked her out the next day because he recognised her. They were in the same class in elementary school and MC was his first love. He even recognises MC's ex bff and MC's ex friend at first look even though maybe 5-7 years have passed. If it was anyone else i don't think he would have done so.
Anyway, they are 15 year olds, who are not only growing together, but grounding each other, helping and communicating with one another. Sure there are conflicts that happen (for the sake of plot etc), but that's all character growth! The characters are handling/trying to handle many things in a mature way (at least for teens who are 15) How can you be too 'old' for this book when they are addressing issues that even adults haven't handled/can't handle at all??
All is cute in manga but never EVER date your supervisor/manager/boss at the same workplace!! Power imbalance and workplace dynamic is SUPER real and is harmful in real life(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ! Kinky shit is fun and lovely but never think dating a superior is normal! Toodles and continue enjoying the manga, as I am going to do too!! ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
I had faith because Top went "it's not right being the partner of a child" in chap 2 of volume 2. He knew his rights and wrong! I was so happy. That's why at the start of chapter 3 he went "just when I started getting use to him as a child..." This makes so much sense! It was a refreshing take on this stereotypical troupe.
But then he started kissing a middle schooler uke... I really wanted to sigh and question why. Like I get he is your lover, and you wouldn't like another child that's NOT your lover but @-@
No cause seriously the pairings and the animals she chooses is so freaking interesting! First pair was according to stereotypes (standard bunny and predator), second pair is a lion and mouse (never seen this dynamic before), third pair shown is a pair of dogs (different breeds) AND NOW A BEAR AND A HALF RABBIT HALF WOLF??? SLAY BITCH
(But no rape tho. This story was fine so far with a little dubcon with the 2 dogs, pls don't ruin it now ;-;)
NO MORE COCKBLOCKING TT&TT THIS DAMNED AUTHOR MADE ME WAIT FOR 100 CHAPTERS TO SEE THEM FUCK. I seriously thought we wouldn't ever get smut of Watari and Kou cause author keeps cutting it off every single time but MY DREAM ACTUALLY CAME TRUE. AUTHOR I TAKE IT BACK I LOVE YOU NOW
But I ship Lara and Mikhail together. Like Lara's angelic nature (always willing to help, always comforting, and friendly and kind) paired with Mikhail's straightforward, sharp/harsh and mischievous nature, IT JUST FEELS RIGHT. I know it's crazy to ship children but I just can't help it (really want his reason to be because he finds Lara too pretty that he can't talk properly but idt I'm that lucky to get what I want) :") if Mikhail is the ML then I can see why, cause his personality with MC fits well too. Idt the dude that appears in her dreams is the ML, feels more like a villain in the making, with what he is trying to do to make Lara die/become scapegoat/hated. I hate him too, MC don't worry.
Anyway idm ML being Mikhail, but I also pray that Lara and Mikhail get tgt ;-;
Does it count??? I feel like I, and all of us, got scammed out of a girl's love isekai villainess story.
The point of this comment is me disagreeing with every single person who says the romance feels forced. (LONG COMMENT BEWARE) If you disagree with me, feel free to dislike this, scroll away and pretend I don't exist. Your opinions are still valid whether or not I disagree. If you wanna read this, go ahead! At the end of the day this is my opinion and thoughts (=・ω・=)
I want to start of by saying that yes, I completely understand and accept that their love story looks forced. I don't blame you. The two literally only have 7-12 days with each other, and somehow a love story is suppose to blossom between them. It sounds stupid and absurd and I agree. No sane love story happens in 7 days. So with that, I agree that their love story feels forced. Before I read this arc, I also did not want love to happen because hell, power isekai mangas don't do romance justice ╥﹏╥
But I mainly disagree because those logics don't apply to them ._. Lariette and Gongja are not sane people (both time travel to the past constantly it's obv not gonna make them sane), but they are not insane either. The 7 days that they spend together (adding on 5 more cause both will time travel back) isn't just them going out, it's them literally fighting against things that want them killed. Coupled with how they speak to eachother, how they look and how they think, it's perfectly logical for them to have chemistry and love to bloom! It's literally life and death for them, obstacles after obstacles within 7 days, there's no way it won't happen between them when they are experiencing life tgt at rapid pace now.
If y'all dont like this love story, I just wanna remind that Suzume the movie literally encompasses this exact kind of love story, except for them it isn't 7-12 days, it's 4. If you liked that movie (love story literally there with the plot), there is no reason for you to dislike this love story. However! If you just dislike it, and have no reason for it, that's completely fine too (⌒▽⌒) Emotions are not meant to be reasoned with, and I agree. I won't argue or debate with you on that! But this is my 2 cents on this whole thing.
It had plot. Now I'm just lost ._. It's just porn at this rate i swear. Sometimes I wonder why I even decided to take this seriously.
I just assumed she is misunderstood ._. Everything else she said was fine, cause hey who doesn't want to mooch off others right? But not only is she manipulating her family because it's convenient for her AND she has no way of relying on herself mentally and physically, she just assumes she is off worse than everyone else.
The moment she assumed our precious MC had a life filled with happiness I immediately lost all respect for her. She says she hates people endlessly gossip about her, but she is literally doing the same???? Why don't you, idk, understand him before you say these kind of shit, he had tolerate your stupid ass in the prev chapters bitch
The only person who treats him like a human being is the MC. Everyone else in this book either treats him as a well known celebrity, or a horrible scary person. Dude isn't heartless, he just doesn't trust anyone. The scientists treat him as a guinea pig, don't even bother trying to phrase their words nicely, and just act immediately hostile to him regardless if something goes wrong. They don't treat him like a person at all just because he is strong and can be a threat. They have never stopped to understand him and think that maybe he has a heart. Why would ML comply when you treat him almost like shit (forcing him etc) and ask him prying questions?? He is obviously not gonna answer and keep his guard up!
Not only does MC treat him normally (albeit a bit rocky at first cause duh, well known actor and rumoured scary person), he is also his guide. ML doesn't have a support system and he has been trying to sort his trauma all by himself. If you give a person who has been alone and hurt for so long, someone who stops to try and understand him, and take his side possibly, all while treating him like a normal person, do you think he is gonna let them go?? Do you think he ain't gonna even be somewhat emotionally attached to him?? The only thing that rubbed me off wrong was the smut scene, but him losing it makes a lot of sense cause he is an esper dude doesn't have a lot of self control when it comes to someone he actually likes.
Y'all need to be fr right now and think critically. If everyone is gonna be an asshole to ML, does ML not deserve to be an asshole??
Idk why dubious consent looks so pretty and fine in this manga. I think it's just me atp ._.
I'm not sure why, but even though the book has such an interesting plot line, it's surprisingly... boring? Like it's somehow so predictable even though it's not idk how to describe it.
MC be picking up every guy and girl on her way to ending the Empress and Emperor
