I know that it isn’t realistic of Elsa to adopt every unfortunate child that she comes across but, dare I say, I do understand where she comes from?
She has been severely neglected as a child. She sees herself in these children. So she wants to be their saviour - the one she wished for so desperately in her childhood but sadly never received. Someone to love and someone to lean on.
