Stopped at chap 16. Maybe I'm just used to villainess smart MCs but the mc is literally has the most advantage out of them all but remains fucking stupid and doing nothing at all. She's literally a grown ass woman in mind but to think the children has more common sense to scout the unfamiliar area they are in while she acts clueless (she's not even acting, cuz she is stupidly clueless despite ts being her second life) Kuhang kuha mo talaga inis ko beh. So tell me, does she get better?

She's a GROWN WOMAN in a child's body. I'm not even expecting her to fight or magically erase the ppl. She can literally devise a good plan in attempting to escape but no she just sticked to her helpless maid role the whole time. I just wanna see her do atleast an ATTEMPT to escape their predetermined fate. I dropped ts cuz I can't handle goodie goodie can't do anything type of character it infuriates me when they're not even trying.

I know she's in disadvantage in so many aspects due to her body but the problem here is, I've never seen her did at least a small attempt to escape their situation. Even scouting the area is enough, but those ideas came from actual children instead of her lmao. It's also kinda of problematic how she's (mentally older) gonna end up with one of the kids (actual kids) she witnessed growing up. Anyways I already dropped this ever since I wrote the comment I just want to let my frustrations out.

She does leave to go get help from the crown prince in a few more chapters but spoiler, it fails. She gets sent back to the place they were in and is told to keep quiet, n they all get revenge on the butler, they killed him and the other dude w the butler. I haven't read too far but that's where she tried to escape, it was then that she realized that she needed to make a plan, and I do agree that she is still stupid even though she's an adult.

she wasn't a grown woman, though. she only recovered some memories of her last life, but in the current story she was just a child at the start. her reactions were appropriate because she's just a kid and commoner, and the memories she got from the novel weren't even accurate because the book never said anything about them being locked in a tower at all. she's the whole reason they survive in the first place once she realizes what's going on

BITCH THIS IS SO GOOD I WISH THERE'S MORE SIDE STORIES Surprisingly one of the characters I unexpectedly come to enjoyed reading is Gale. Despite how much I abhor rapists, I enjoyed analyzing his character and he can be quite unpredictable sometimes (it also adds to the fact, he clutches to save the chapter from more angst every time someone is attempting to kill Simon). His past is so messed up istg it made me wish there would be some Uncle Iroh type of character to help become his support system but alas. However his past is just an explanation to his current behavior but never an excuse.
I also like the way the author made it clear that Gale is not some anti hero, but is an actual piece of shit who does whatever he likes(he's an actual trash). It also showed through Gale's character how the abused becomes the abuser when they never experienced a support system. No one was there to help him at his vulnerable state thus to compensate, he became like them (his abuser) to avoid being the vulnerable the person between the power imbalance.
What I also find interesting is his contradictory behavior towards Simon, sure he hates Simon to the point of wanting Simon to suffer but he never attempted to kill him despite the fact he can easily overpower Simon. He just expresses how much he hates Simon because of how similar Simon is appearance wise to his father. However I think the reason he hates Simon is due to the on going resentment and jealousy.
Resentment, because he tried to ask for help and only person he can rely on in that god forsaken household is Simon but Simon is often at Connor's, and he barely stays at home (I can't blame Simon on this one). That probably made him feel abandoned and betrayed cuz he's the only one suffering.
Jealous, cuz Simon is out there away from home, safe and sound and seems to be living the best of his life with people who actually cares for him. Gale envied Simon's freedom and genuine love he is receiving.
However despite all the pent up resentment he had towards Simon, I think he's still clings into that one memory of him and Simon when they were kids. Because the only person who once treated him right in that household was Simon. Anyways I hate him as a person but I find him interesting as a character. I felt bad for him but that doesn't excuse his actions.
you should read the guardians of the lamb from the same author! has Gale in it as one of the main characters and plot is pretty interesting and unique
Thanks!! I'm gtg check it out
