who knew mushrooms were such perverts!
the mycological society never said anything about this in their "Fungus Among Us Walk 2025" brochure. Not sure if it makes me want to go to their outdoor school less... *or more*

... is so funny, dozens of chapters and she has exactly 1.325 facial expressions. Madam is starting up a local chapter of the Support Group for Parents of Scarlet-Haired Fire Sign Tsundere children. bless.

5'11" Lying in bed I'm looking down at my feet like Alice after she ate the freaky mushroom and was like, Welp I guess now I'm sending letters to my toes via the Royal Mail, I hope we see each other again someday

"Why do I have to be dragged into this world and maneuver around strange men so they don't kill me"
actual real life: same picture honestly

I love the dumb gray doofus ghost so much <3
Remember when it pretended to be a belt bag? And that time it turned into a butterfly net. I feel a true spiritual affinity for that thing tbh

These gangsters in here stealing actual pirate treasure, gold dubloons and whatnot, is this kid's bank the Federal Reserve?! And huge bags of it like Scrooge MacDuck on holiday, do you know how much that shit weighs?? You're not carrying it out in a burlap sack with dollar signs on it, you need a hand truck my friend, at the very least, if not a forklift. Getting crushed into a coma by a semi somehow results in a heart transplant? And that's it?? Magically the heart tanked all the damage from inside his body I guess. Was regular old heart disease not tragic enough or something?? Truck-kun works hard for the money and doesn't deserve this.

edit: oh and now your medical records are something street thugs can google from their laptop on a card table in somebody's basement, okay sure. This is a huge HIPAA violation, the outrage, the audacity

edit II: "Why are you sleeping? Why did you just faint" "I don't know, maybe because MY NEW HEART is acclimating to my malnourished, recently comatose body?? The body you very recently beat up, locked in a dank vault, drenched in freezing cold water, and jerked around like a chew toy?? You're not the brightest bulb in the marquee, are you." Point: My mouthy ass would absolutely get punched by kidnappers in a hostage situation. This kid is smart to stay unconscious as much as possible.

This would make a great stage production. Imagine Lobelia bursting in from stage left to give her two cents at the top of her lungs! It would bring the house down. Caroline is already perfect Takarazuka GF ヾ(☆▽☆)

I wonder if the attached spirit is going to turn out to be Yejin's father? It didn't have its memories wiped; her father was a shaman who was working in the village the day of the tragedy, and Yejin is now about to confront Minchan after all this time. If her father is the spirit and remembers what happened back then, maybe we will get some more information on the sequence of events from that day? Everybody is still blaming Minchan for it, but it's really much more complex than that.

I'm also wondering if Gweonyeom is the Jeoseung Samsin, because only certain people are allowed to see his face? If Gweonyeom is the Samsin, and also 'the faceless man' from Jeongmin's memories, then that means the Samsin is the one working to put Minchan's soul back together. And maybe that's why they retired in the first place, b/c of what happened to Minchan's soul. I kinda thought maybe Jeongmin was part of Minchan's soul (and that was why he was frail, b/c he only had part of a soul), but Gweonyeom said all the other parts of Minchan's soul 'had disappeared from this world'. Hmm...

Classic horror monsters in a contemporary setting; vintage grindhouse + all the mod cons = a bloody good time! Just enough gore to be gruesome without distracting from the story, a mix of romance and drama and a nice dose of humor. Nifty art style. They packed a lot into three volumes and you know it's good when they leave you wanting more! Great rainy afternoon read.

Which sucks more, puberty or growing up and being a parent? Ans: they are both equally horrifying in countless ways! Many of these ways are surprisingly similar. Let's see: "My body feels like it doesn't belong to me anymore". "Am I becoming a monster?!" "I hate everyone." "This is the strongest love I have ever known." "I would like to go for five seconds without someone touching me with sticky little hands." "I don't understand any of these humongous feelings." "Will I ever sleep again??!?" "How does anybody do this alone?" (Nobody can do this alone.)

The first time they go into Hiwako's room, you catch a glimpse of the artwork over the door--it looks like a plant at first but then you realize it has the same shape as the insect that landed on the car window when Akane first arrived at the mansion.

This is great gothic horror! Dario Argento vibes...

Moonbeam created a topic of Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu

Nuonuki the mountain god, an apotheosis of methyl mercury?
The swirling, fluid tendrils that come out of Hikaru's body resemble pools of reflective, mirror-like mercury, heavy metal, liquid at room temperature. Is this town haunted? Possessed? Harboring a mountain god? ... Or being gradually poisoned? What really happened to the children?
Mercury... is neurotoxic. Slow mercury poisoning causes hallucinations, birth defects, rashes, poor wound healing, coma, cerebral palsy, vision and hearing problems, severe disfigurement, and death.
This story: a memorial to the Minamata Health Disaster, in which a small town was poisoned--sacrificed--by chemical factory Chisso Corporation polluting the environment with industrial waste in the 1960s.
What did you do to the children, Chisso?

ah yes, that's my brand. Narlboro Sigamets
