That wouldn't work with the plot bc Sihyeon is in a pretty precarious situation and all of his members have been bystanders so far. They haven't really been a great help to Sihyeon when he needed them. The entire narrative so far is a lesson to buck up before you lose ones who matter to you. On the other hand Daejun has been through thick and thin with Hajin. Hajin has accepted the members and understands their love and care but he also knows it is meant for Sihyeon and not him. Meanwhile, Hajin is also afraid of losing his existence in Sihyeon's body. Daejun is the only one who could give him the security that Hajin isn't truly dead but just living a new body. Like Daejun said Hajin in his dream always looks different now which can imply no matter what face Hajin took on he is still Hajin in Daejun's eyes.
