Reading chapter 38 without crying is tough. Granny's notebook has a note to never forget her granddaughter and it made me miss my own grandmother. This is so wholesome, probably my most favs chapter and nobody can change my mind.
I know, that one was tough for me as well because my aunt has dementia and already forgot all of us. Made me tear me up.
This chapter broke me. If you're living with a patient for long enough you become somewhat insensitive to it. You are used to them forgetting, but moments of clarity, like her grandma's, take you out within seconds.
