
Sorry but I'm a big hater to Romeo and Juliet, that shit is overglazed. I can say so since I read the damn book.

DUDE. YEAH. All that in 5 days is crazy. But uh, true love, I guess. . .
Hot take, but I'm pretty sure the absurdity of Romeo and Juliet is why it's a classic and sort of mother of all cliches. It was sorta the firsts of it's time.
I'm pretty sure not even Shakespeare took his story seriously. If you think about it, the overdramaticness of it is definitely satire. I got a sorta mocking tone while watching Shakespeare's version of how teens love. (Never read the book btw, only the play and films)
Sorry, but this irks me. While yes she was an adult, she is now only a child.
