The only way the boy can get released is to completely lose his spirit and feistiness. Only Then he will stopped being being a muse. At the moment he's too fun to be had around with all that energy in his hate. He needs to become completely numb and non responsive to provocations. That's the only way he will be let go.
I'm still a bit confused with Chase transformation from a human hating person to 'i want to impregnate you'. But I read the novel and this is following the novel very very closely so it's the novel's shortcoming. A few more chapters to develop their friendship would've been nice. It just doesn't feel quite smooth. Nevertheless, thanks for the meal.
