I don’t really want to open a can of worms but I think it’s worth saying. Many mangas, particularly those created in Asia, include arcs that seem to normalise or romanticise sexual violence through portrayals of dubious consent. While this may reflect certain cultural storytelling conventions it can be very disturbing to read. Regardless of intention it doesn’t come across as cute or sexy, and for many audiences especially in places where there’s strong emphasis on consent it’s deeply unsettling. This manhua was doing so well. Why did the author had to go and ruin the characterisation. Ironically, the MCs are both in the legal industry. So disappointing.

The character dynamics are messy mature and deliciously complicated like an actual adult story instead of another bland love triangle. This is grown-up territory, folks. If the darker edges make you squirm, there’s always the safe, sugary prince-and-prince tales waiting in the kiddie aisle.
Doumeki needs to let Y go. He made his contact, he tried really hard to be by Y's side. But it's not working. Y needs a total shock system. Doumeki needs to leave him cold turkey and let Y come to him. His blinds loyalty is no longer cute. It's starting to look pathetic. And Y needs a man with a stronger backbone to pull his own head out of his arse. Doumeki is not respected by Y. It's time for a change

I dont think this work with yashiro. He will continue like nothing happened thinking it us better this way. He could have search to see what doumeki was doing all these years but he didnt. The best course that could trigger yashiro would be if he feels that doumeki is in danger. And i think this is where we heading now.

This manga has dragged on too long to end in some dull happily-ever-after. Honestly, it’d be way more satisfying if Yashiro never gets his happy ending with Dom, if Dom’s death becomes his reckoning. He quits everything, including his debaucheries, and carries that love and guilt forever. Anything else would just cheapen everything this story built up. There are enough HEA mangas out there.

The daddy trope usually gives me the ick unless it’s executed with sinful execution. This one? Whew. It’s hot in a ‘should-I-be-enjoying-this?’ kind of way. Cringe? A little. But also… yes, please. Pretty sure it’s the ML. man’s serving forbidden zaddy energy and I am not immune.
