It seems so out of character. Through the story we see him as a very thoughtful man who thinks before acting. Thats why it took so long for them to get together, he was aware of her breakup and gave her time. He didnt confess and stepped back after his divorce when he found out shes dating someone. And then suddenly hes dragging her for sex and then bursting it all out without knowing all the details. It seems so out of character. Maybe hes jsut human ╮(￣▽￣)╭
