This storyline is getting really tedious. Legit so tired of Muzaka. And of everyone standing there just watching instead of doing something useful.

I love the fight scenes more than anything, but for people who are not into things like YYH, HxH, Toriko, & Dragonball, I recommend just binge-reading/catching up on Noblesse 1-4 times a year to turn the slow burn into a brisk read. That way the fighting won't seem to overtake the story. I won;t lie that the entire first half of this chapter had no dialogue. lol.

diem luk njing. kontol loyo

indeed, agree with you.

And that chapter about "If Tae Min and Si woon had never been separated" hit me right in the feels... I would've loved to see more of them together in Tae Min's old body. And I still don't understand why Siwoon felt that he couldn't even contact him for so long. He was clearly already well-off and was keeping tabs on him. It just seems ridiculous not to have gone back before it was too late. Idk maybe he was gonna wait until he graduated and went into his fam's company to then just appear at Tae Min's house like "look how much I've grown now marry me" or smth (Sorry if I spelt the names wrong)

Their story makes me cry, the moment I see them both, in any form, I start to tear up.

But I don't think it is too late, they have finally reunited, the issue is what is ahead of them.

Yea and he let his son rot in the slums with a crazy mother

Hmmm... that's a good theory. Especially considering how his house looked basically demolished when Taemin ran to it. Can't wait to see more of his story. It just seemed to me like he didn't want to go back until he felt he could protect Taemin completely. That had to have played a big part in his decision since he didnt receive even a single word of contact. Unless his fathers control or threat over him were to such an extent that he'd not even risk it. If so, then ugh wow

That's what I was thinking too, that the demolished building was a sign that Woojin's father, a powerful man, had found out about his son and unleashed his fury about being kept in the dark about Woojin's existence. I doubt that Woojin pull willingly stay away from Taemin for so long. The only explanation that makes sense to he is that the had no choice in the matter.

It will be interesting to know what happened, we would get the explanation in ch19 if only Taemin didn't reject the offer

It makes sense that he would reject the offer, though...?

Except that, would he REALLY have no choice in the matter? That just doesn't jive with the kind of person that we've seen Woo Jin to actually be. He didn't seem to gaf about anyone even before he discovered Tae Min at death's door, essentially. And wouldn't that carry over to his father who, really, when it comes right down to it, wasn't there when Woo Jin needed him most no matter what his excuse may be. And I really think that's what Woo Jin from back then AND now would think of any of his father's explanations as, an excuse, no?

I think his father probably didn't know about him until he took him. And at that point, Woojin was a child, and his father was really fucking powerful man, so no, I don't think Woojin had ANY say on whether he got leave Taemin and not talk to him for years. Parents have power, especially rich ones. Woojin couldn't physically go anywhere that his father didn't want him to go. I'm sure his father had lots of paid employees and staff members who constantly tailed Woojin and made sure he didn't step a toe out of line.

I think you misread me somewhere. I never said anything about Woo Jin trying to go against his father when he was a child. I said, as a child he would probably see whatever his father told him as merely an excuse, because, like you said, Woo Jin WAS just a child. And BECAUSE his father was indeed so powerful, especially when you are supposedly powerful enough to have someone tail your own son and make sure he toed the line, it makes his father NOT knowing about Woo Jin sooner more questionable rather than less.
And Woo Jin has some pretty amazing fighting skills so it's kind of hard to imagine even his father making him toe the line. That's all I was saying. KT.

Especially when he probably gives two flying fucks about his father. (Because of what I said, earlier.) I think his father would either have to be pretty scary, and there has been no indication that Woo Jin is scared by ANYONE to that extent so far, OR he made some kind of deal with Woo Jin which would, again, indicate that Woo Jin HAD a choice, at least when it comes to anything that happens between him and his father. I am not saying that that's impossible, but it does seem highly unlikely, especially coming from my perspective.

It depends on what one means by "choice", then. Because the most important thing to him was to be able to provide for and protect Taemin. So, regardless of wether his father knew about him or not, his power/position would be a necessity for Woo Jin. Especially given his mentality at the time (after his mom hit Taemin) and how he had absolutely nothing. (And maybe it's not even his father. Maybe it's like the kind of situation where his father or mother's family members needed a heir and so they found him and basically gave him an ultimatum like "you do this or you stay where you are". It happens a lot in mangas )

They're both basically dating people who look like their exes... I hope we get to see one of them play an actual part in the current storyline or idk get some closure... Seems like there needs to be a bit more balance between the flashbacks and the current relationship's development in relation to it.
This chapter was so well done! I love all the analyses people made here. It really is interesting, especially Seungbae's position in all of it. I read this yesterday and had a creepy dream about it last night... That's how you know it was good.
