But what's sad is that if these artists keep getting robbed, they will not make enough money, and they will not make these comics anymore. If they don't make them, no one can read them.

I think they do make enough money. With all the publicity that the scans gave to them I think the income increase considerably since that so many people (that came to know the mahwua through the scanlations) buy not just the english version but the korean too. Just like KS because of us they update it simultaneously korean and english.

The thing is, you don't know that they do. You are assuming. How many people buy their work because it's more ethical when they can get it for free? Everyone who gets it for free is assuming everyone else is buying it. But they are not. Most people don't buy it.

So what do you want us to do? Stop reading it?

It doesn't matter what I want. The artist herself said she wanted people to stop reading it illegally. Is that not enough? Have you seen her Twitter posts? She is devastated. She is so, so upset. Is that really okay? I'm trying to understand here. If an artist sobs while you steal her work because you want to read it but can't or don't want to pay for it, is that okay?

For the record, I did buy the ma bwas I was reading officially, but I read them here first. I feel horrible because I am a part of what upset the artists so much. I know I am not innocent. I thought it was okay to read these here until I could afford to buy it officially. But apparently the artists at Lezhin are not okay with that at all. And they are seriously disappointed and livid with people like me. I just am not okay with that. I enjoy and admire their work, and I feel horrible that they are so devastated by this.

If you go to the store but can't afford something, do you just steal it because "Im poor, and this corporation is rich anyways"? No. And in this case, the author isn't even rich and is barely making that much money anyways

Don't you get pocket money? You can use it to get a pre paid credit card at the drugstore. Use that to pay.

You are such a spoilt brat. How hard is it to grasp the concept that if you can't afford these manhwa, you shouldn't read it? Besides, it's probably not that you can't afford it. You don't want to pay for it because it's expensive to you. And I get that. I don't pay for manhwa I think are too expensive even if I like it.

But that doesn't mean you're entitled to it. Just because you think a purse is expensive DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN TAKE IT FOR FREE. Do you understand how spoilt you sound right now? The authors are trying to make a livelihood. You guys are thieves robbing them of their income. At least have some shame.

Then it's a yes I'll stop reading but then how are they gonna get rid of all the reposters? Every time one quits another pops up it like an endless cycle. Is there even a way to stop them?? Like a way to prevent the chapters from leaving the site?
