I think the uke is a novice. His warped knowledge of S/m is from (probably) his abusive ex. I personally relate to the uke and it takes a good dom to understand where their sub come from. On the other hand, I feel like the reason why he ignored the uke's discomfort might stem from his aversion to feelings and responsibilities that come with it (probably due to his past trauma).
