The thing that doesn't sit well with me about Harada is how gratuitous her depiction of violence sometimes is. I enjoy gore and psychological horror with good plot to boost a lot but in this particular work of Harada especially, what does chapter 5 add to the plot? Did it make more sense for it to happen as it did in the context of the story? It seems to me the only point of it being there is that Harada herself draws pleasure from torturing her characters for its own sake and frankly, lacks restraint. What you like to write/depict isn't always what's best for your story. And the after treatment always leaves such a bad fucking after taste; those guys faced absolutely no repercussions which would've been fine if that was a point in itself but no, it was merely brushed under the rug. Same with uke's handling of the situation, you supposedly love this guy and THAT's gonna be your reaction? How realistic.. The absolute tone deafness of doing a little comic strip with the rapists at the end though.... as if anybody wanted to see more of those guys at all. At that point I'm wondering if Harada just doesn't understand the trauma of what she's depicting
I agree a lot I just looked at the list of the author and I realize who which author I was looking at but yeah I love online psychological thriller horror with a good silver lining but it did not have to be nothing like you did yes I do agree to yeah he should I had some consequences for his actions the top he shut up because he basically harassed her sister what am I opinion they could’ve just intimidated him a bear 12 punch whatever and let them be it was way too much like it triggered the crap out of me and the sister being so nonchalant with shit like this happening WTF yeah the guy did something stupid what I was Way too much in originally that was her favorite band and she knew the guy she slept with the guy it made no sense how they could’ve just gone back to his shows and nothing happened I would’ve made more sense for them to ban them from entering
