I think the author was playing with us when dokja's fate was to die by the hands of the person he loved most and the one who finished him off ended up being Joonghyuk. Legit they created the best bromance but like in a not gay way.

I stopped reading the manhwa a while ago because I ran off to read the novel (they’re finally having an official English translation (๑•ㅂ•)و✧). Anyways, I’m back to check on it and OH NO is all of have to say. Manhwa only readers are in for a ride. Of course, as a novel reader, I think I’ll freak out even more bc I’ve been waiting for this scene to be drawn to finally start reading the manhwa again. (￣∇￣")

Definitely not a harem and basically no actual romance (besides some eyebrow raising moments). This type of plot is not meant for romance. Besides the actual manhwa and novel, shipping culture is very strong in the fandom. (⌒▽⌒)
