So from reading and racking my massive brain, I think this is talking about how Barrett is such a healthy fellow that he cannot possibly have kids with genetic diseases. However all the people in this little town seem to have some form of genetic disorder and by the wealthy hogging barrett to themselves for perfect genes, those of lower class are left to suffer with the diseased genes without aid… Me thinks anyway.
