and i feel as though if it was revealed that taehwan liked dojin it might’ve been better to the story than just making him really homophobic and toxic
Taehwan has trust issues (trust issues + traumas) ever since what happened when he was a kid. It'll reveal his backstory in the next chapter btw. It would make sense that ever since then, he'll have his guard up when interacting or befriending someone. He keeps "simple-minded and honest" people around because they wouldn't use him for their benefit, backstab him, betray him, etc. That's why he became friends with Dojin since he's honest and a good friend. But of course, after he found out about him and Taehee, he got mad since he thought he could trust Dojin (aka Dojin & Taehee kept it a secret from him).

Taehwan’s pretty honest with Dojin though? Even before he dated Taehee, Dojin knows of Taehwan’s asshole side bc he doesn’t pretend with him. Taehwan is a calculating person so he prefers simple-minded and honest people but he genuinely trusts Dojin after he saved that drunk, sleeping girl at the party
