ok so now knowing that minho is suppose to be a self insert for someone the author personally hates makes a lot of sense why he constantly getting shitted on in this story. i'm not condoning everything doona did (she's a terrible person for sure) but it's clear she suppose to represent the author's feelings/personal trauma dealing with the real life minho. maybe the entire story of sadistic beauty is the author's effort of coming in terms of the abuse she faced. if this is the case, i do have some issues with that. despite minho being an total asshole, he doesn't deserve to get raped multiple times. also, the fact the guy who rapes minho doesn't face any consequences doesn't sit well with me. it like the author is treating men being raped as a joke. i felt like she could of have written the story waaaaay better by spending more time on fleshing out doona/minho complex and toxic relationship. i like the elements of doona learning bdsm and experimenting, but i feel like half of the story is just doona abusing minho. If you want to write a compelling story about a woman standing up to her abusive ex, you kind of have to her sympathic and not a vindictive abusive bitch. also, you have to make the ex be worse than main character, because right now I'm rooting for minho way more than doona. idk maybe i am reading too much into this fictional smut story

Since this is a bdsm story, knowing that Minho is supposed to be someone who the author hates personally I think it makes a lot of sense. Not in the justifying rape way, but since it’s fantasy the author probably feels exhilaration from abusing Minho in fiction rather than making a complicated, gritty real life story, it’s probably to j help her relieve her frustrations with his characteristic with a revenge porn plot. I personally still hate those scenes and can’t read them, but I think it makes a lot of sense given the type of genre this is

i agree 100% with you! the author is probably just releasing her frustrations from her personal life onto minho by abusing him. i read somewhere that a lot of adult books (even yaoi) written by female authors where rape/abuse occurs in the story is just the author venting their personal trauma. this is why i am hesitant to bash the author because despite the things he went through, i can't imagine dating someone like minho constantly undermining my talents /trash talking me. this is why ppl should just read this story as a typical smut without much thought

i'm rooting for minho too, maybe bc i see situation unfair to him. I know that sometimes you just cant ignore the past, but what is happening to him is just too much and im worried that it will be just explained that 'he deserved all of that'. Also i dont see any explanation so far why that other dom guy started to obsess about Minho. If it wont be explained then it will be just sign that author wanted character to suffer and nothing more (and making Doona hero of the day for him and then making him suffer more).

black gyaru? there's a black person in this manga? new to this series and just curious on what a gyaru is?

They're talking about Rumiko. Gyaru is a type of fashion style in Japan based off of America if I'm remembering properly though it could be based off of something else. But a noticeable part if the style is the make up and spraytan skin. Its best if you do a quick google search to see some examples.
loving this story so far
