Im so happy I decided to read this, this is amazing and refreshingly dark and complicated. Abby is an instant fave, and Scarlet is so cool.
Im guessing Randolph will be the ML? If so im not complaining, he's pretty cute.

I reckon during the time Hildegard disappeared in the war, either Elkin or his parents saved her and nursed, and that's why she finds his eyes familiar. Perhaps the parents died in a horrible way and so hildegard repressed the memories, or maybe she was found with them and after being "rescued" the kings men burnt them because it couldnt be known that northerners helped the sun knight?

This series is genuinely fantastic, I'm so glad I listened to my whims and decided to read it. I really like all the characters, especially Elkin. Its refreshing to have a healer/gentle ML with a badass strong fighter FL. I feel terrible because they're clearly very compatible with each other and are slowly falling for each other, but its such a struggle! Truly star crossed lovers...
I hope Elkin doesnt find out too quickly about Hildegard's identity because although he'll be angry, he'll love her eventually and may find it in him to forgive her... ish.

I'm looking for series (manhwa,webtoon,webnovel) about a genuine villainess. Like actually flawed, mean ect. None of that "actually a saint" or half assed villainess' that are just sassy and nothing else.

Looking for stuff like:
The way to protect the female leads older brother
Villainess reverses the hourglass
To be you even for just a day (/your throne)
Kill the villainess

I liked the designs and premises but the dynamic is not my type at all. Ah well, it's rare that u see this type of dynamic so I'm happy for the ppl who do like it. Disappointed tho :(

Ugh, I don't like how Johan is acting. Sympathizing with Florre and struggling to accept Dahlia's cruelty would have been a good conflict, /if done right/. But instead, he appears to sympathize with Florre, reject Dahlia and then say "oh it was all for u Dahlia :)" didn't make sense at all. If I was Dahlia I'd be furious with him, Idc if he caught me as I fell or was "trying to protect my reputation", there were ways to help/calm down Dahlia without clearly sympathizing with Florre. It was either incredibly backhanded or bad writing. Dahlia should have been more angry about it tbh, considering how disgusted and mad Florre makes her.
He should have just ignored/seen through Florre's act, it would have been pretty cliche but at least tolerable. This weird half assed mixed was worse.

Is it just me or are the chapters kinda short/chopped off halfway? Why are we getting like 28 and 28.5??
I'd rather wait longer for the full chapter than a chapter cut off midway...

CASSIS IS FINALLY BACK AHHHHH!!! I love Dion and Jeremy but Im so excited that Cassis is finally back, the plot can finally properly kick off now~ I wonder what will happen now.. Cassis will have to save Roxanna some how soon, the doll pretense will not last forever, and Dion could expose Roxie at anytime

I tried reading the light novel but the only translation I could find changed from adequate/readable to completely incoherent pretty much every second sentence, it was too much :( Idk if the translator was just a novice, or the OG writing was that bad (Tho I doubt it), but it sounded google translated....

I can't decide if I like this or not. I like the premise and I love that MC isn't a weak girl omega and is more on the handsome side, its a really refreshing change. The alpha is also pretty good looking and not a bad dude.
Im only 15 chapters in but man,, the MC is kind of annoying. The dude really does have a problem with lying and listening to ppl and then blaming them when something goes wrong. I actually feel bad for the alpha in this situation,,,, and his hot/cold treatment is kind of annoying when he's the one who doesn't take proper precautions to prevent his heat and doesn't tell anyone to be cautious ect...
Idk I might drop this.... its not bad or anything, the mc is just annoying.

Im sorry but even after catching up I cannot get invested in the second pairing, idk why they just bore me, which is weird because I prefer to read toxic relationships lol.
I hope Hwan and San merge because I don't want either of them to die :( I still don't get how this plan isn't just the same as before but now San's aware he's being used to kill Hwan?

Also was it truly not significant that Hwan was assaulting Eunjae like nightly? Was it really just a way of wearing him down? And why didn't Hwan just immediately eat Eunjae or posses him so he could take him somewhere safer to eat him? It just feels like there has to be more to Hwan's motivations. The premise to this story is literally " some kind of otherworldly being keeps having its way with him in the middle of the night", so I feel a little miffed it was just a throw away element. I wouldn't mind being railed by Hwan tbh.

I kind of hope San or Eunjae stands up for himself is like "hey can u guys stop using ppl's lives as pawns and bait, buzz off", I like the goblins/reapers ect but damn, no one seems to kind of acknowledge that they're dicks. Also isn't the implication that they KNEW Eunjae was being stalked/possessed by Hwan and they were purposefully backing off until the proper time? If so, doesn't that mean they let Hwan rip at Eunjae's mental state and kill off his parents? UM???

I'm glad that the relationship is more toxic because I prefer to read dark stories, but even I'm questioning Johan at this point, why is he happy? Is Jurgen using magic or something on him?

I'm not gonna drop it yet and idm the toxic dynamic like others, but I also agree I'd rather have the espionage plot back...

I like this story and the second couple, but honestly at this point I almost feel a little bad for the main couple, im only 29 chapters in so far but the second couple (threesome) have more scenes than the main.... the second couple is cool but I came here for the main couple.... they've had like 2 scenes so far where as someone almost always seems to be trying to bang 704 every time he's on screen.
honestly why was this about the main couple then? The author seems more intent on the 704 situation. I wouldn't have minded if 704 had been the MC instead, but it feels kind of annoying when Eunjae is yet 704 FEELS like he should be anyway... ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

This was so sweet I thought I was gonna die of a cavity, I loved it so much. It made me laugh so much, cry a little bit (when he ran I died on the spot), and Im really happy for them. I binged this all in a day because it was just so damn good. Is this was true love is? haha

Also I like to think it was Misaki and Juri that got married first, I think they'd be the least likely too, so therefore it'd be a fun twist. I loved all the side pairings in this, I was rooting for everyone~ It would have been nice to see all of them in the epilogue or even just a small note on how they all were ~

Seth's hair actually came up very briefly in my studies. Seth was genuinely said in myth to have red "hair" ("" bc Seth had an animal head, so more fur lol), and it has been proven in recent years that there were people in ANCIENT EGYPT who had red hair, which was seen as a marking of Seth. One of the most famous and powerful pharaoh's Ramesses II had red hair, which for years scholars thought was due to a dyeing process or tradition (ie during mummification), but recent studies has proven that was in fact his natural hair colour.

I just thought it was interesting to note, because I always liked the touch of making Seth a red head, and I'm pretty sure it was an intentional reference to how he's depicted in myth.

I'm glad Aria has grown so much, but I'm also glad she hasn't lost her "villainess roots", she's still petty, feisty, holds grudges, and wanting revenge. She's a better person and definitely kinder, but she knows who to actually treat right and no mercy for enemies like Mielle. I'm just glad she wasnt wish-washed into a forgiving saint.

I loveee reading toxic/unhealthy relationships and tragedy but even im like goddamn,,, poor yoon :( No wonder he's so easily falling for someone like Jay, the boy hasn't known true affection ever.. his brother probably made sure he never had friends.
I like Jay as a character because he's smart but goddamn he's a bastard lol

Do you like messed up dramas? Do you like stories about flawed characters? Do you like stories with incredibly beautiful art and hot characters? Then this is the series for you!

Seriously, this is an incredible series. I know its not finished yet, but I trust with my entire soul that the end will do the story and characters justice. It has been very, very, VERY long since I've last read a story this fantastically well written. I always thought ancient myths would make great soap opera's and this just proves it, this has to be one of the best drama's I've ever read. And it weaves ancient Egyptian myth so expertly, its amazing, as someone who has studied it, I can guarantee a lot of is accurate and faithful to the myths. The story itself is a little complicated at times, but once it all comes together you will find yourself in awe of how well thought out it is. I literally had to stop several times while reading it just process my feelings and thoughts as the revelations because it made so much sense, and it heightened everybody's characters intensely so, I was blown away.
I cannot express how amazing this story is without spoiling its twists, because they are that good, its better you go in blind.

That being said, there are some things that should noted. The most obvious is that there is two rape scenes in this. Because the version uploaded here is the 18+ version, it shows it unlike the 16+ version (which I believe only shows parts/implies it), but I still wouldn't say even the 18+ goes into *that* much detail. Its there, its warns you at the start of the chapter, so its up to you whether you can stomach it being there.
The second I guess would be the characters, pretty much no one in this innocent or a particularly good person, HOWEVER, in my opinion, thats what makes them so great. Despite being gods, they are very very very flawed, just like humans. Its even a major theme of the story, that the gods are just as flawed as the humans they rule over. They are petty, hold grudges, cruel, selfish, possessive beings. And I would say all of them act in a way that makes sense (doesn't necessarily mean rational, just that the way they act makes sense as their established flawed characters).

All that being said, this is a series not to sleep on, its well worth the read. Be careful tho or you'll end up like me; staying up until 3am to binge read it because its so interesting and hard to stop, the night before an exam （/TДT)/
