It's so cringe but I can't help reading it because of the art like why is it so gorgeous. It's icky that the ml literally raised the mc since he was a literal child (how old was he? Like 5??) and how he was like a father figure to him. Also it's also icky how the mc acts like he acts like a spoiled child and it's a ick especially since he looks under age. Ml is fine as hell but that's his only good quality because if he was average or ugly (or if the art wasn't as good as it is) people would tear the author a new one and call them a pedo/groomer for writing this shit.

I feel sorry for everyone EVEN Caesar(??? I forgot his name but the older brother also to a extent) at the end of the day EVERYONE is a victim in one way or another the only difference is how they handle it for example Caesar handled it in a TERRIBLE way, at the beginning he did want to protect ruby and give her a happy life and be a family but at some point those feelings got WAY to extreme and turned from wanting to protect my little sister to I need to protect what's mine (I truly doubt he has actual romantic feelings for her I think it's possessive and obsession) and since he wasn't raised by an actual family (I mean the dad threatened to take away ruby if Caesar didn't become like a puppet and do everything that he was told) to give him proper love he didn't know how to love in a family way (if that makes sense?) but don't get me wrong he literally abused ruby and deserves to get punished I just wished there was therapy in this world because EVERYONE needs it cause their childhood was SHIIIIIT
As much as we all hate the guy, I think this is why Ceasar is actually really well written.
Mostly the villains or even the mentally unstable MLs in these stories are just not relatable. They have no real reason to be that much of an asshole and often they're just assholes to be assholes.
Meanwhile Ceasar, as you said, just wanted to protect Ruby, but didn't understand the way he behaved was wrong all because they were raised by garbage.
In these situations I mourn the relationship these two could have had. I hate Ceasar but I hate the dad more
I know they will be end game and this might be a unpopular opinion but I wish they wouldn't end up together I mean it would be nice if everyone got peace and stayed single and worked on themselves ESPECIALLY the mc. I know the mc was in a toxic relationship but he himself is also toxic just not in the same way his ex was and I hope he gets therapy and starts to learn how to love himself and learn to be alone and how being alone isn't the end of the world/as terrible as he thinks it is. I think a ending where they become friends then start sloooowwwlyy working on becoming lovers will be a good ending. Anyway I just want everyone to be happy and live peacefully.
